My best friend slept over at my house once in awhile and this was one of the first movies we watched together. He passed away in a car accident almost a year ago. This movie brings back the memories we had together.
I remember seeing The Punisher in the cinema. This scene, while brilliantly executed by the filmmakers, is nothing short of horrific. And it needed to be for Frank Castle's transition to feel so real and visceral. After this massacre, the audience feels no sympathy for Howard Saint, his family, or his friends. The audience cheers and Frank spends the rest of the film exterminating them all. It feels fair. And it feels right.
This scene and even the entire movie still feels better than the Punisher TV series from Netflix. This entire scene was horrific and exactly sets the tone as you said for Frank's warpath as they guys are mercilessly hunting down his entire family and killing his wife and kid in cold blood. Thomas Jane is still the definitive Punisher
It’s underrated but Punisher just doesn’t really work well in a movie format. The show works so much better because it gives more time to tell the story and character.
As far as I'm concerned, Jane did the best live action Punisher. Shame we never got more. He had the cold/ calculated and edgy flare that makes Frank so terrifying and awesome.
All Punisher movies were good, love this version the best though, Many tributes to the first Mad Max especially this part in regards to the pier scene.
As of this day in the year 2024(20 years after this movie was released) most of Frank's family members at this reunion would probably have conceal and carry
I’ve been shot twice with a shotgun, in neither instance did I get flung back and up off the ground. Also, anyone that’s shot an LP tank knows they don’t explode like that.
I get the movie trope, but the gamble taken by every bad guy in a movie to just stand there while a shotgun is pointing at them and not take cover is BS
If the shotgun fired and a pellet hit them, they would keep going because they had an enemy to deal with. Because humans do that in their fan-fictions.
If I had a nickel for every time somebody went on become a dark, brooding, guns slinging fighter for Justice after losing a loved one named Maria, I’d have two nickels; which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.
It's dumb. Instead of toying with Castle they should have simply headshot him and then check if he's really dead. So they made a big show but failed to kill him. Script armour goes a long way but eventually it reaches the realm of dumbness. But if people in movies would be smart, most movies would be over in about 30 seconds to 5 minutes. For certain movies this would be way better
Only thing I do not like about this scene is how those hitmen shot only once to the stomach. Do you really believe that? Real killer would shot twice to the head
Hi everyone! What grade (out of 10) would you give this video?
But I can't watch the full movie pls
I Give This Movie and My Classmates 12th Grade
А как называется этот фильм?
No, that is how Max became Mad... Directors steal scenes from other films all the time...
3-4

Very interesting
May your friend rest in peace , you both had good taste in film
Man this is still one of the best versions of The Punisher to me. I remember going to watch it with my buddy and the theater was packed.
For me ray stevenson but his movie was bad
@@bakikucuk498 I've still not seen that one. Maybe one day I'll be able to stomach it.

Well they slaughtered all the castle family even the children so they deserved everything they got all over one son who was scum
@2Good2BeTrue45 agreed, took Bernthal 2 seasons to become Punisher amd it just didn't feel as impactful as this
@@2Good2BeTrue45 Interesting pov
Not for vengeance but punishment and man the ending was proof that it wasn't vengeance, loved this movie 🔥🔥🔥
One of my fave action movies. Merciless, gritty, unsentimental.
H3lp me with the full movie pls😊
Weak people don't understand pain and like to enjoy it laughing, careful what you wish for
The Punisher of 2004 was fantastic!
Underrated movie for sure.
It really was. Loved it
Paul Dalton is the punisher
It’s underrated but Punisher just doesn’t really work well in a movie format. The show works so much better because it gives more time to tell the story and character.
It's a shame this movie never got a proper sequel
This version of Frank's origin is even more tragic!.
While I do appreciate Jon Bernthal as punisher, Id like to say that Thomas Jane not getting a sequel is a huge missed opportunity
This was the GREATEST comic book movie ever.
This amd DREDD are amazing
This, X-2: x-men united, The Dark Knight, Batman (1989) and Superman the movie (1978)
As far as I'm concerned, Jane did the best live action Punisher. Shame we never got more. He had the cold/ calculated and edgy flare that makes Frank so terrifying and awesome.
Don’t know if the Punisher and John Wick can get along just fine
They would look at each other as they both pass by and give a nod
Actually, John Wick is an assassin who kills for money, the Punisher would try and kill John.
Many inspiration from Mad Max (1979)
All Punisher movies were good, love this version the best though, Many tributes to the first Mad Max especially this part in regards to the pier scene.
Man I enjoyed when he killed Saint's second son. What an entitled coward prick
¡Esta escena es mi preferida y me sigue gustando gracias!👍😊
Gotta watch the Punisher now , thanks !!
Fucking cool movie.
In the comic he was, left behind at fire base, valley forge. He came back seeking vengengence on those respondsibl
فيلم اصبر وتريث وانتقم بي هدوء ولا ترحم
Just seen this last night on the Netflix very good movie definitely to recommend to watch this .
My favorite movie..met him in Knoxville 2 years ago
It’s just the movie and it’s just acting but the stuntman did amazing job. They made me hate them which is what they were supposed to do.
Thomas Jane....Check his latest punisher short film.
A new Thomas Jane Punisher film?? Link?

I feel like making frank castle a cop is always the best choice story wise
This movie and its soundtrack is epic
Deadpool and wolverine show cameo of thomas jane
In my opinion, this was the best Punisher the actor nailed it, Jon Bernthals Punisher is a very close second and at times just as good
Bu güzel filmin tamamı neden yayınlanmaz anlamıyorum
if john berthral as the punisher didnt exist this would be the best adaptation to the character
It still is
@@DavidMartinez-ce3lp nah the punisher from john is so much better
Lol naw Jon is not better
@@dulkacenllin6709 he only becomes Punisher after 2 seasons. We barely got to see him as Punisher. Just that last scene.

Crazy how the red F-150's grille gets blown open and then is magically repaired in the next scene.
Built Ford Tough brother.
Maria was played as Princess Daisy in Super Mario Bros movie. She was portrayed by Samantha Mathis.
Full movie pld6
00:30 The motorcycle was in a different position 02:57 😁😁😂😂
Not nearly as gritty as the series but still good in its own way.
This movie walked so Shane Castle could run.
When movies were good .
Oh for sure.
They have something to lose, I don’t.
Yup
Man the ability of thin wood to block bullets in early 2000. They don’t make wood like that anymore 😢
Love this movie
The way they left Frank for dead in this movie was so dumb.
Solid Punisher movie! However I personally prefer how the Central Park version a bit better. This was a little too profound for me.
the massive rampage he goes on seems a little more justified in this version
I was just waiting for “Sam Quint” to show up. Like my comment if you get the reference and how it applies.

RIP that suspension on those cars.
Miller at it again. Gosh darn protomolecule
Thomas Jane lost two kids because of him his son in The Punisher and his son in The Mist

That shotgun tube looks like it holds at least 4 rounds. He only fired 3. How are they so confident there isnt a 4th coming loooool
Imagine Vaas is in there too
Punisher of 2004 was actually not that bad. Sure do wonder why it scored so low on rotten tomatoes...
Was this the punisher mentioned deadpool and wolverine or was it one of the others
did Coach Yoast learn NOTHING from the Titans!?

Like Max from mad max becomes THE Mad Max
Road warrior
Literally the same scene from the first Mad Max movie
This was so sad
This is not how Castle became the Punisher.
This is how Thomas Jane became the superior Punisher.

The critics panned it but this was the best adaptation of Frank Castle until the Netflix show.
So they were ready to take the shotgun shot which from that range would kill them all
