You make everything look so easy. I've got a 4g63t, probably same engine you just pulled, rebuilt 9000 miles on it need to swap it into my spyder. We've been carrying that engine around for 4 years and haven't done it yet. But we pulled it out of the rustbucket drag car. Great work I wish I was that good with engines 😅

anytime i ever pull an engine for rebuild i care not about timing chains water pumps things like that but i ALWAYS do the rear main seal it's just one of those things that boy you dont want that to start leaking after putting everything back together had that happen once on a car and never again...
Excited for the build man, You always do a great job. I miss my 2g dsm eclipse man. You're bringing all the great memories back! Make sure that block doesn't have any crank walk. They are notorious for that being a failure point where people give up on them. Good luck brother!
I've never taken a car apart that far, nor will I ever. It scares me that I won't know where all the bolts go. My mechanic used sandwich bags to separate the bolts. And I forget exactly what he did, but I think he made a diagram and put the bolts where they go on the diagram. That might make it easier to remember.

I think you were worried that making a video taking stuff off wouldn't appeal to people. I will admit I didn't actually watch most of it. I scrolled and forwarded through it. Still worth the click to check in and see what ur doing. But without tutorials and stuff explaining how to do everything, which I'm not asking you to do, it's kinda just like watching your buddy work on the car in the backyard. I assume I missed you talking about that head you said were gonna buy. Will be exciting when you get it running. What happens if the machine shop says the engine has low compression? You have to go buy new cylinders then?
