YES! This is so hugely misunderstood part of our worship!!! Shakti is the primordial energy with infinite forms, and i am still to this date confused about a lot of stuff regarding durga maata, and who is the male counterpart for maa durga, is it lord shiva? Or is there none? And why is maa lakshmi named shivapriya in her ashtalakshmi stotram/ashtottarashatanamavali? What is relation between saraswati and brahma. Things like that and so many more. Thanks for initiating with the most powerful of devi worship, the dasha maha vidyaas. Jai maa shakti!!! As someone who has experienced her presence just once in life, i cant ever forget it!!! Durga does not have a consort but you could say that she is a form of Parvati whose consort is Shiva. Shivaypriya is a name of Durga not Lakshmi. It is nowhere to be found in either of those chants. Saraswati is the consort of Brahma.
While Gods can have Shaktis, many a times female Deities are independent and don't necessarily need a male counterpart or consort. Durga too can be worshipped independently. Durga has said that Shiva is Her Husband when talking back to Mahishasur's dootas. When it comes to Saraswati, some stories say that She isn't married to anyone while other stories say that Brahma and Her are married (as a formality I think) because while She's married to Him, she doesn't wear any ornaments or jewellery (in authentic images) and she wears a simple white saree as if She's a widow. She prefers education and learning over things like marriage etc. Regardless in both versions, she doesn't hold the marriage to much importance hence She's detached from the married life. Hope this clarifies your doubts!

great ji,no words to express!!
Could anyone help me to understand the Goodess number 7 the Dhumavati?
She represents sadness, fear, hunger, suffering and bad things? 🤔 I don't get it.
Sorry I am.not indian, I just wanna truly learn the deep meaning of all Mahavidyas.
Is she maybe a respresentation of the missuse of energy?
Like... A representation of what happens if you go away from.the divine or if you missuse divine energy?
Why do people pray to her if she brings this sad things?
I would like to understand it better if somebody can explain.
Thanks!
Thank you . .. Happy Navaratri (Durgashtami)

@Apex Hhh True. But there are some authentic works. Mainly Vedas. But Vedas require much skill in sanskrit grammar to understand. There are some gurus which might help you in your language though
