Back in the 60's our family took a week's vacation at Cherry Grove every summer. Back then there were lots of the original beach cottages still standing and we would stay at one of them back on the canal side, in the heat of the summer with no AC. And the pier was always a favorite part of the trip. I miss those days so much!
Is there a place to park near there if you just want to go to the beach for a day (or the pier)? Planning on moving to MB soon but not right near the beach.
That's cool we were just in myrtle beach but I didn't see this nice pier we were at the garden city surf side city how far is that away from this video? I did see paragliders it looked like fun. Also seen a shark on the pier we walked on but it wasn't this one.
Nice :) In the 1980's when my family had a condo at Sea Cabin, we used to walk to this pier as a fun beach walk :) Thanks for reminding of the fun memories :)
i roamed this place in the 80,s when the ship ahoy was where the prince is now and we used to catch fish and walk the pier for free or a quarter maybe 50 cent great times
Funny enough I was right by there for vacation last week. We stayed in the Sunrise Pointe condominiums which was right down the street. I was going to go fishing wish a tourist license, but never got around to it. It was cool though. :)
My husband and I love to go fishing at the Cherry Grove Pier. We go down every year in June and really miss it when we're not there. Myrtle Beach is our 2nd home. I love and appreciate your videos. They sometimes help to ease the homesickness I feel most of the year.
Just came back from Cherry Grove on vacation, we caught 1 croaker this year from the pier. I watched all week and didn't see anyone catching anything but shark. Unlike the year before when we caught a number of fish.
Ha, my wife woulda grilled me if she was watching with me currently, my initials are ATM and I lived in cherry grove before meeting her. Wasn't me who put that tho lol
Love videos on North Myrtle Beach! Thank you.
Glad you like them!
I love that place GOD BLESS

Jenny Àldrich 1/2 hour from Garden City. This is North Myrtle Beach.
Thanks for a great video. will be going this May. Looking forward to the trip. Especially the walk on the pier, even if we have to pay the 3$.
That was pure relaxing enjoyment.....thanks for going back 😃

that place has changed a lot since the 1980's..back then I only costed a quarter to walk the pier
Yeah, I asked if there was a local's discount but unfortunately, no :(
Can you recall if anyone was catching anything that day on the Cherry Grove Pier.
