About the game:
Bloodborne is a 2015 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. Bloodborne follows the player's character, a Hunter, through the decrepit Gothic, Victorian-era-inspired city of Yharnam, whose inhabitants are afflicted with a blood-borne disease. Attempting to find the source of the plague, the player's character unravels the city's mysteries while fighting beasts and cosmic beings.
The game is played from a third-person perspective. Players control a customizable protagonist, and the gameplay is focused on strategic weapons-based combat and exploration. Players battle varied enemies while using items such as swords and firearms, exploring different locations, interacting with non-player characters, and unravelling the city's mysteries. Bloodborne began development in 2012 under the working title of Project Beast. Bearing many similarities to the Souls series of games by the same developer and director, Bloodborne was inspired by the literary works of authors H. P. Lovecraft and Bram Stoker and the architectural design of real-world locations in countries such as Romania, the Czech Republic and Scotland.
Bloodborne was released in March 2015 and received critical acclaim, with praise directed at its gameplay, particularly its high difficulty level, atmosphere, sound design, Lovecraftian themes, and interconnected world design. Some criticism was directed at its technical performance at launch, which was improved with post-release updates. An expansion adding additional content, The Old Hunters, was released in November 2015. By the end of 2015, the game had sold over two million copies worldwide. Bloodborne won several awards and has been cited as one of the greatest video games ever made. Some related media and adaptations have also been released, including a card game, board game and comic book series. shoutout wikipedia lol
people who havent played boodborne don't realize how accurate this video is LMAO
I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed it having not played it lmao
It's so accurate
I have to say yes especially with sharpened placenta bit you'd think normaly its an exaggeration but its in fact LITERALLY A SHARPENED PLACENTA
Orphan of kos beating ur ass 5 seconds after being born
Maxor: "When you kill someone it's because you were faster and had more METH than they did."
Mati: "yep"
All I hear are facts
Classic.
Great to see you enjoying Max0r videos. He also has two ones out on Elden Ring. If you can fit them into your schedule at some time in the future it'll be good.
Will def be checking those out 😁
@@matiasgago YES!! I can't wait for his third, cuz the first 2 are some of THE BEST content on RUclips, trust me!
Super fast, mega-over-the-top editing, cool fight montages, and insane joke-per-minute ratio.
@@matiasgago you have to check out Charred Thermos lore videos. They are by far the best ones I’ve see on the game.
@@matiasgago i really enjoy ds 3 playthrough, but i'm still waiting for this 2 videos to come out

No kidding. It’s all one guy, making these videos bit by bit. In an interview he had a while ago, he mentioned that every 30-45 second segment of his videos takes about 8 hours to edit
Its all Max0r
The human shaped editing software that is Max0r stated in a ( relatively) recent interview that for an average 8 hours of work he gets about 30 to 45 seconds of footage done. Given that his later videos are even more insane and average 24 to 30 minutes long the months between videos make more sense.
As a British person i can say this is accurate. *sips my blood cocktail*
Also i believe the next chalice dungeon you do gives you the shaman boneblade unlock so you can buy them at the messenger bath btw if you want to attempt the sharks again.
So if I walk around St Paul’s at night I might find Lady Maria
@@HollowedKnight66 there might be a possibility. If you can get past all our screaming crazy ppl in straight jackets first.

@@HollowedKnight66 all i can say is fear the old blood. By the gods fear it ashenraven...
12:45 Actually fun fact, Elden Ring was the first of these games where Miyazaki put in a map. It was actually kind of worrisome for longtime fans because it was such a departure. I mean it ended up being great but everything before it is like Bloodborne's exploration.
bruh imagine elden ring without a map 💀
We worried over nothing though because it was a Miyazaki map through and through. The map in ER screwed me over so many times lol.
sekiro?
@@DjDizzy216 Haha yeah for sure.
@@exii-bit7349 Did Sekiro have one? Maybe I'm forgetting that.
Hey man. Just wanted to say i literally found out your bloodborne playlist 4 days ago randomly. And bloodborne being my favorite game of all time, I started watching your videos because its always fun to see someone experiencing bloodborne for the first time. But your playthrough was so insanely fun to watch I have already finished watching the entire series and now here we are. I have a huge feeling youre gonna make it big time because you have it in you. Insanely good work man, keep it going. All the love from India
Let’s goo thank you my man! Will do. Much love to India 🫶🏽
The fighting style in Dark Souls is slower but that also allows it to be more thoughtful and tactical. It might take a little time to get used to, and you might think initially that you're not feeling it...but ultimately it's a huge part about what's great about the game.
I love that!
Really well put.
That’s more for the first 2 the 3rd has the best combat of the soul series
Play sekiro if you want To continu dying in fast pace ! ;)
@@matiasgago Personally, approaching dark souls like you're playing bloodborne, being aggressive, is actually very nice when compared to being passive or defensive.
I disabled my blinking function to watch Max0r's video. It was probably the most information-dense 15 minutes of my life.🥵
Only way to do it 😅 can’t miss a thing 😳
I like how you compliment the effort with the editing since you're an editor yourself.
Gotta give credit where credit is due
The music of Living Failure is heavily borrowed from Gustav Holst's "Mars, the Bringer of War". A set to describe the planets in the solar system. So you're totally right about how it is a music about the outer space
That’s awesome! thank you for sharing
Sometimes these videos just take a 180° from funny to outright horrible truth in a split second and i love it.
Now we need a reaction of Maxor's two Elden Ring videos.
They shall be done 😁
This was it lol. I love Max0rs vids and I knew you would enjoy it. That is why I love your vids so much. You are so entertaining and cannot wait for each vid!
Love to hear that brotha I had so much fun watching and making this one 😅
I also loved the Fromsoft approach to navigation.
They consistently forced you to take note of the geography, find landmarks, trace your path in your mind, and get lost if you explore too quickly.
So many people hate it (generally people who don’t play the games because “too hard” or something) but it makes the world feel authentic.
If you’re a stranger dropped in a strange world, where’s the logic in you knowing where everything is?
Same with the story. It’s like a lot of people are so upset the story is so cryptic. When it just tries to mirror a player experience in a DND campaign. Because again, where’s the logic in you getting a bunch of exposition cutscenes where a story is awkwardly spoonfed to you. It’s like expecting to know the history of our world without studying it.
"wow H.P. sure has a cute cat I wonder what its name could be" thanx Max0r
For the sharks, if you end up fighting them, try using the Shaman Bone Blade item. It makes enemies aggro to each other, and is the best item for that fight.
If you liked the fast paced combat of Bloodborne, you'll LOVE the combat in Sekiro.
Hell yeah 😈
Glad you watched this video and I’m also glad that you found it super hilarious as I also did
Good luck in getting to 8k subs!
Maxor's editing style is great, lol. He really does a fantastic job of explaining the lore in accurate but funny terms.
The hunters dream is great but as you are about to find out, the firelink shrine at dark souls 1 is the most welcoming place with the most soothing music...you just feel safe and at home
Ok now that’s excited 😅
Mati be hooked on this vid like, "what in the edit nightmare is going on here?"
🤣
Legend says you need max insight to fully understand a maxor video.
The fact that Maxor uses Persona 5 as OST is HILARIOUS 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Started watching on Ep.1 of bloodborne. You’ve very quickly become my favourite person to watch on RUclips 😊 can’t wait for your dark souls play-through
1:34 accurate reaction from a first time Maxor viewer. you get used to it
The chalice dungeons are actually very fun. You can try out all those weapons you didn’t get to try in the main game, the challenge and new enemies/bosses is enough to get you going for hours and hours.
The story has been entirely explained and written up, comprehensively, as 'The Paleblood Hunt'. Which then got a complete audio reading, for free, on spotify btw.
its a fantastic listen.
LMFAO your reaction at 24:16
8K incoming, Mati! I'm here for it, brother.
We're soo close bro😆 anytime today now
Dude i bought this game day 1, and I still think about it all the time lol, it's gripped me hard, It's truly a 1 of a kind game.
Couldn’t agree more dude can’t imagine what it must be like to sit on it for this many years lol
Amazing that you found this guy. Can't wait for your reaction to his Elden Ring vids. Keep up the good work my boy
I always check the reaction to the kid being bonked with the baseball bat, yours it's priceless.
🤣
23:07 the hub in dark souls one is so good as well. The OST for it is gold.
Can’t wait for it 😁
The singing ladies from the Nightmare, wear the Doll clothes. So familiar, yet grotesque. That is why they inflict so much frenzy.
12:27 Best way to make sense of Yarham's bizzarchitteture? Think of it as one of the "works" of Bloody Stupid Johnson of Discworld "fame".
Pause as much as you want, hearing/watching your reactions to the video is what i came here for!
that take about the living failures is fucking based
Hey man I've been in a fan since your fromsoft journey started with Eldin ring. Just watching back a few maxor vids. Crazy to see here you hit the 8k and a year later being almost at 30k is awesome man, great videos and edits a lot of hard work and effort that you definitely deserve the success cant wait to see the end of the fromsoft journey. And a reaction to Maxors Eldin Ring videos would be a great thing to see before the DLC Drops.
his editing keeps improving by leaps and bounds with every video btw. You should checkt out some of his newer stuff
On the topic of editing; there's a part in his Metal Gear Rising videos with a 30 second clip of a boss fight. That clip ends with an applause sound effect and him saying that 30 second clip took him 4 days to edit.
Hey, Mati! Have you checked out the new gameplay trailer and extended gameplay videos for the Resident Evil 4 remake? Looks pretty sick!
I did It looks amazing 😩 we’re gonna so play it!
Yes! Max0r's videos are great! You should watch the Elden Ring ones as well.
Will do 😁
A note about the chalice dungeons:- If you wanna eventually go around to using all of the awesome weapons in the game (without them doing piss for damage), you will HAVE to do the dungeons and farm blood gems to get stronger. Plus they’re great for echo farming and levelling up. Also, entire builds (like strength arcane and pure arcane builds) are impossible without doing that chalice dungeons as the main story and DLC have no blood gems for those builds. I find them quite enjoyable to do myself and recommend that you do them (I mean you kinda HAVE to in order to finish and maximise any build in the game). So best of luck!
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Max0r. This guy's upload schedule is about 1 video every 3 months. He spends 8 to 12 hours a day editing the first 10 seconds his videos, then moves on to the next 10 seconds, then the next, and so on.
FromSoft could literally print money making a Bloodborne remake.
Unlimited power
Ahh if you love this video :D (which im so glad you did!) youre gonna love Sseth's Elden Ring review, it's hilarious and also has insane editing!
Don't worry, everyone in the UK calls Bloodborne "London the game" too lol. Now you've finished it you should check out Barons Castle's video 'Can you one shot the orphan of kos'
Bravo for using the Mr. Lahey clip
Max0r perfectly summed up the chalice dungeons. They're not good, yet we love them, because it's more Bloodborne. You will get sick of playing basically the same level 4 times in a row to make any progress, and then there's a new level design, or a new boss, and it makes you keep going.
Mati legit shook by the Doll R34 😳🤣
Sup matias hope youre doing good and i cant wait for you're dark souls playthrough!!!
Appreciate that Hollow hope you are as well! and just a few more days 😁
Damn you reacted to Max0r's review already. It's just so good, but with you it's even better xD. Love to see it. But oh man, I really love Max0r's Reviewes. So funny and good shit!
“Might feel a little slow” get ready for slow motion my guy
So excited for you to see the old game everyone raved about
When asked for his inspiraation in creating the Living Failures, he just silently looked at the interviewer./s
Omg 😂😂😂 never seen that video before, i was the fuck thats fast so much info!!! Laughed like an idiot
Right! I was mind boggled by the amount of information🤣
Speaking of dlc i just had the great idea that at some point u should play oblivion with the shivering isles dlc. That would be pure entertainment
So psyched for you to start Dark Souls Mati!!
Hell yeah It’s gonna be so fun 😁
Bloodborne lore!
Yaaaaas
Such an amazing video man, haha :D The pvp is awesome though, atleast it was back when I played it. A dance just like the bosses, but more even.
This is genuinely the SoulsBorne community in a nutshell 🤣
I loved every second of it 🤣
I love how he used Haruka to describe said "Deer Demon" probably due to the fact of how much of a gremlin she is.
Cannot wait for DSR 💜 it’s gonna be interesting to see your perspective on that world
Can’t wait to start it with you guys ❤️
Micholash is literally repurpose cut content. 😂 There was a version of the game during development where he was an NPC that had you chase him to a specific location with a portal you would jump into like the lake and that's how the player would find the Nightmare Frontier. That's why his fight just has you chasing him. They didn't know what to do with him so they just changed it's location and reasons for fighting him.
This game had a lot of hardware issues that held it back I bet if this game were to get a remake it’d be perfect
loving these!! also: fuck the fishing hamlet lol
Fun fact. Most ppl get the location wrong. It's not London (the voice acting is also wrong) Yarnhams all based HEAVILY on Edinburgh. The English team just assumed London ... There's load sof amazing vids on the architecture being from Edinburgh and how the Healing Church and their buildings are based off the Royal College of Surgery and Medicine in Edinburgh
This is one of the bloodborne videos I never watched cuz I knew what the editing would be 😂
Dopamine overdose 🤣
Ludwig and shadows took me like 3 each days where as orphan and Lawrence took me like 3 tries. Crazy how different ppl's experience is in this game
The boss named after all of us!? Omg sick burn bro
I had to 🫶🏽
I only posted the maps up to your progress at the time to avoid spoilers. I can post the rest if you want, including the one Max0r showed.
That would be so sick dude and I appreciate that a lot thank you for not spoiling
@@matiasgago Well… I about got lynched for spoiling once already for mentioning The Eye of a Blood Drunk Hunter when you asked me how to get to the DLC. Your Fanbase isn’t f’ing around apparently 🫣
If you decided to do the dungeons then I recommend the (Story) ones or the ones you need to do get the Platinum. The boss fights are actually 🔥 but there are some challenging ones in there for sure.
Living Failures has music that's inspired by the music that inspired the Star Wars music.
Also, don't let people trick you into playing a Sorcerer for your first Dark Souls playthrough. Anyone that gives me crap about suggesting the Master Key as a starting gift and then turns around and suggests a Sorcerer for someone's first playthrough... who hurt you? You should get some help.
Oh hell yeaaaah! and lmaoo noted brotha
@@matiasgago Picking the Master Key as a starting gift, while it can lead to some funny scenarios, ruins a lot of the things that make the level progression special on a first playthrough. It's a speedrun item, don't listen to em Mati.
But yeah, sorcery = cringe
Yeah regarding his edits.
This is the calm and "slow" paced ones and trust me; it will get more spastic and chaotic on his latest videos like Elden ring and Ultrakill, nah scratch that Ultrakill is straight up LSD.
You should watch more of maxor i love all his videos despite not having played half the games.
Wooooooooo yeah baby that's what I'm waiting for
Yesssssir
Those sharks are super easy to parry, and for some reason, the last time I used parries to kill them, the second Shark didn't get triggered to come down until I threw a dagger at it after killing the main one. Second shark actually has a lot less HP than the first shark too, I noticed.
Chalices are really good for getting those strong rare gems. If I didn't have those gems, I wouldn't survive new game + 3
I’m honestly really grateful that I get to play this game. Thank you god and Maxor for introducing it to me and giving me the chance to experience it.
If you thought the editing here was nuts. He went further beyond in his Elden Ring videos. A series which he took a break from briefly to do Uktrakill to not feel burnout, but is still one of his biggest pull ins aside from his Metal Gear Rising review.
R.I.P for the people that still waiting for another maxor reaction.
You can use the doll... if it pleases you... (sick laugh)
Such a strange man
im so happy when ppl discover the best franchise in gaming(and also maxor).
Ps: I adore the hunters dream but i cant wait for you to see how the hub in dark souls 1 is implemented( the best in gaming imo)
btw the Yharnam area in bloodborne is inspired by Pragh
Video every 2 months IS consistent, just infrequent.
i just finished ur elden ring playlist love your energy , i am new to souls series just like u ,so lot of it was relatable.
if u dont wanna milk so much content this early in souls series ,
u should try witcher 3 (you can watch 1 and 2 in youtube story explanation or netflix series) its story and side quest are god tier ,this year they release next gen patch for ps5 you can do it when they release it. u can try it
( or ) if u want to play hack and slash with good story try god of war (1,2,3,reboot,ragnorok)every thing it will be worth it
Zanny has some hilarious videos. Elden Ring was his first Souls game too. First one is called “I Got Cyberbullied Into Playing Bloodborne”.
The one boss i could nerver do on my own in the dlc was Laurence, hes a menace
As a Scotsman I love the British jokes, I can't believed maxor predicted prince Philip's death.
Nice one mate.Looking forward to DS
Gonna be a blast my man
Max0r also has 2 videos for Elden Ring. (as well as many others)
Yes everytime I replay Bloodborne on NG+ I do the Poison Knife trick on Micolash. He one shots you in future playthroughs.
Totally agree with you on the map discovery! Cant wait for dark souls, hope you find all the secrets
Yeh he updates everyone on Twitter about video progress. His condition Pushes him a bit to not release a video until it is edited perfectly. If you’ve ever played the other titles he’s played (DmC5 is a classic one) then he nails everything
Something great about Max0r is you could watch a video 20 times, and find something new everytime😂
I don't like asking about other stuff then the video, but weren't we getting a prepare to cry or a lore video reaction ?
You should definitely watch Elden Ring Maxor video, you will love it
I will 😁
I love the edits and references of Max0r's vids. Cant go wrong with the JRPG music in the back either.
There is one review aside this one Id extremely recommend you watch. Its called "Bloodborne: A World without hope."
