Michelle Pfeiffer nailed Ruth Madoff's accent. I'm of Ruth's generation and background and know that accent well...educated Bronx. And Michelle never slipped...not once. She must have trained to do that. That's dedication. God bless Michelle Pfeiffer.
I like both stores, I remember watching the first one which and enjoyed both. I watch wizard for nothing on Showbox, I was a member of a pyramid in the late 80's and new it wasn't legal but in my community it aforded people the opportunity to hold sums of money they never thought they would have me included. And in order for it to continuing this pyramid I had to bring in people knowing that it was a risk of never seeing the money again. If the FBI had not closed them down we all would of continuing taking a lot of family and friends money knowing if they couldn't bring in more people. In rectrospic like Berries there was a relief it ended.
Sad, there's still so many people robbing their friends & family through pyramid schemes today. So many make up, clothing 'companies' like LuLaRoe, there going down the cliff at the moment. So many have lost their homes & savings due to Lularoe. Its very sad, its just not something I could morally do. Im not judging you & your previous actions, only you can do that.
Madoff the movie was better than wizard of lies... in my opinion Dreyfus was a better-played madoff and the way the story was told was better... Ruth madoff was well played in both movies.
I completely agree, Sara. A bunch of Hollywood millionaires defending this family, not caring about the ordinary people who worked hard their whole lives then lost everything because they refused to acknowledge that long-term returns like that are impossible - stock market 101, any investor would know this. I don't let these folks completely off the hook for being so willfully obtuse, but the people interviewed here have NO IDEA what it means to be a hardworking person earning honest wages, NONE. OR what it's like to lose everything and face retirement in poverty. Or lose all charitable donations and being forced to fold a charity. They are breathing rarefied air, part of an elite that rules Hollywood by money, power, name, connection, and cultural affinity. It's sickening how Marisa Guthrie fawns over them. Her interviewing skills are abysmal.
They sound quite interesting when they talk about their craft. I wish they wouldn’t make these arrogant hints about Trump. Especially that stiff neurotic looking woman with sunglasses. It has nothing to do with the movie and it’s so arrogant to their audience who can’t be 100% democrat. No wonder these super stars can relate to wealthy people that are disconnected from reality…
When you wrote this you couldn't have known that he would be the worst US President ever since he was impeached a record two times. Nixon wasn't even actually impeached.
I like how hardcore Diana claps for each actor. Must be incredible to see that cast play out a book you wrote

Just saw it and thought the film was great. The cast was great, but DeNiro stands out like crazy. You get somebody of his ilk once in a lifetime.

Ten times longer than it needed to be! Best of luck, but this is awful!
Too long I agree
Ugh these Hollywood people gag me with their arrogance
