My dad has this saw since 1988! The fuel line and filter have detached from inside the fuel tank. How do I get it re attached? It's impossible to access through the small fuel cap hole.
I have since sold that saw but typically if you remove the air filter you should see where the line exits the tank and connects to the carburetor. You will then feed the new fuel line from the top and many times you can grab the end with long needle nose pliers or Hemostats though the fill cap hole and pull into the tank. You attach the filter last.

When I saw how bad the gas looked I figured I was in for a project. She idled beautifully right off the cold start.

Believe it or not,this was the reason i bought a very nice 116 si for 75 quid!
Dolmars are great saws,it will work for ever!
