Was drinking whiskey the other day, grey cloudy day, I went out into the woods and stuck the barrel of my rifle in my mouth and I couldn't pull the trigger...not because I was afraid to die, I was afraid I wouldn't make it to heaven. I sat there on a log and the sunshine came through the trees and I listened to the birds and watched the squirrels playing in the trees and thought of my grandmother and I felt ashamed of myself and after overwhelming joy.
to my friend Derek, death humbles us all, the great and small. Jesus is our friend and Great Shepherd. Trust him as your Savior for He is Lord over death and hell because He rose again and conquered death and made atonement for our sins. To die without Christ is to die eternally without God. To die with faith in Christ is to live even though we die (John 5:24-25).
good job as always ricky. i like the slightly progressive style bluegrass music but THANK YOU RICKY for carrying on with the old traditional sound. i hope you make enought money in the old style to carry on. in your travels, you can always stay here at the farm in south pa, near i83 and save a few bucks. we have 4 unused bedrooms upstairs and indoor plumbing to boot ha! ha! two shared bath rooms upstairs also by golly. no one would both you or even know you were ever here, least of all us. we're just old, ugly, and mostly in the way. thanks again for your wonderful contrubition to bluegrass music thru the years ricky. ya'll come, ken t ps. i'm dead serious about you and ky thunder staying here. we have more space and it would be our pleasure. the only drawback is, you may have to fight the old woman off but she's pretty feable in her old age. HA! HA!
Jesus is our savior. Just believe in him and pray to him to save you. Each day will be one day closer to being in heaven when God calls you home. You won't be afraid again.
