This game was just an avalanche of big plays for Miami. Blocked punts, knock out fumbles, passing bombs, interceptions, 4th down play action passes, even the kick holder had a TD. Canes from 2000-2002 were so explosive. Really a few plays away from winning 3 straight national championships.
It is hard to believe this was almost 20 years ago. I have memories like it was yesterday watching this game at my buddies house. The 3 Amigos there in UM Gear, having a great time.
Testing, testing, is this thing on... I pray that you are watching this Coach Manny Diaz because we NEED to be 'the team to beat again'. Move us forward... The 🙌
Miami hurricanes and Florida state Seminoles are both my favorite college football 🏈 teams and that is straight facts 💯 and don't care who win these game straight facts 💯💯💯💯💯💯
I have this game on a VHS tape at home, but on my copy ABC left this game right around 9:00 minutes left in the 4th quarter. I didn't live in Florida at the time so I'm wondering if only in the Florida area ABC stayed with the game until completion.
Bowden had a losing record to every Cane coach with a NC. Count em 4. Sept 89, or was it 90, Bowden had a choice, join the SEC or the ACC. The rest is history. All those, cough, great seasons bec he joined the ACC. Only 1 undefeated season in his career.
@@themosaicatlargostation531 I didn't omit anything. Check his record against the SEC and ACC prior to 89 and its easy to see why he chose the ACC. Bring his record against those "anybodies" you refer to.
@@robjohnson8861 his record from 1976-2009 as FSU coach he went 31-28-2 against the SEC. 1/2 of those games were against Florida. Looks like a winner to me. I will give you that he said the road to a national title would have been harder, but you forgot that he applied for membership multiple times prior to that and they kept denying FSU. Bowden's last decade was sub par. He took some serious L's but he is above
@@themosaicatlargostation531 so let me get this straight, Bowdens record against the SEC was 31/59 and his record against the ACC was close to that? Is that your final answer? If his tecord was much better against the ACC you supported my post. Thanks, Dude!
@@robjohnson8861 I am not agreeing with you at all. i said, and he admitted that he would have had a harder go against the SEC to a national championship. But it is fact that he applied multiple times for entry and they denied him. Secondly he 17-18-1 versus Florida. If you remove his Florida record he was 31-10-1 a 73% winning percentage. I am just going by numbers. Your argument is that he ducked it. if you ask a girl for her number multiple times and she tells you no are you not going to date the women you ask to take and she replies yes? You trying to make it like he ducked. That argument is moot. And if you took away his post 2002 season he was awful which would mean his record was better than it showed.

I would have been pissed, that is ridiculous.
College football is the best
4:44-4:55... Miami's players just looked more intimidating back then.
This team 2024=good
The U OWNS FSU when it really matters. Period. Just think about this. How many NC's would FSU have if it wasn't for the 'Canes? 'Nuff said.
1999.
And still do 🤣🤣
Heads up this is on Saturday ACC network 7 pm est
FSU is lucky Shawn Taylor wasn’t playing that day
RIX stunk like a bona-fide 🐕
An 8-4 FSU team that lost 41-9 to North Carolina.
Rix was a complete trash QB. His parents must have blackmailed bowden. Literally cost millions to his Receivers in lower NFL draft placements.
How bout them Canes!

You totally omit that when they were independent they played everybody anywhere.
