I have an idea on why shattered is so protective, he is like very maternal and doesn't want any of silvers pups to die while she's pregnant. And when he chases off coyotes and foxes because he wants you to eat much as possible. What if his life time quest could be like larks but instead it's "can't let a pup die to a predator" sickness and starving is OK. I agree with how you have interpreted Silver's personality. She was a little humble and maybe making herself smaller when she first started exploring Hellroaring Mountain. But now, with the help of Pines, she has found some more confidence and willpower to (peacefully) take her space. Pines seems to have always had that confidence, but now he has found someone to share it with. He seems to be really protective against predators. Maybe he has seen someone in his previous bachelor group get killed by a big predator like a cougar or a bear
For an idea for the pups names…you could try to randomize some like the way you did to get shattereds name! I feel it could be fun! Love your videos seri💕
the abandoned coyote den you found at around 12:40 has a rendezvous across the little stream there btw! i love that den/rendezvous sm! I use it on almost every one of my saves!

Not as repetetive with the mates, but both Genesis and Shattered in Pines are pretty dark- even black! (Sol's the exception cause red does not fit this pattern😅)
