Every time I see this trailer I am touched and wanna cry. And every time I hear the video says "Coming soon" I wanna cry even more.

Especially if I'm right and that is Lukas Perman as Rudolf - he's my favourite Rudolf and Mark is my favourite Death. My favourite Luigi Luchini (who's also my favourite character) is from the 2005 film but I still can't choose my favourite Elisabeth.

What a beautiful cast all around - particularly "Death".
6:03 the directing in this scene is of a truly higher class. Franz carrying the crest being helpless from all the chaos trying to keep things in order, the people sinking while trying to climb, Elisabeth being at the bottom until the stage flips her on top when Lucheni catches the weapon and the light forming like the crest while the stage forms into its shape with death’s dancers giving it wings. TAKE 👏 NOTES 👏 EVERYONE 👏

I really wish they wld release the Elisabeth DVD with English subtitles. I also saw the French version of Elisabeth in Brussels by the production company 'Bruxellons' - it was fantsstic. Hoping they will be allowed to release a DVD of their show in French.

If they do get this on Broadway, the team must consist of the original creators of the musical. It can’t just be handled by anyone. PERIOD!
Gosh, I'd love it, altho seeing the history of German shows on Broadway... I mean Tanz der Vampire, Rebecca... I'm not so sure if I want to see another musical meeting an awful end. Still though I would like to hear some songs translated to English

There was actually a behind-the-scenes Mozart! interview on the costumes where Mark said the white boots worn by Mozart was also worn by Death during the run of Elisabeth. The video should be on RUclips. It is funny that Mozart got his boots from Fürst Colloredo (who is also Death aka the man in black) if you think about it🤣

ENGLISH JUMPSCARE
Das Kostüm vom Tod ist garnicht geheimnisvoll. Er sieht aus wie ein Matrix-Cosplay. 🥱
It's odd that royalty is still portrayed as heroes in our media.
It is Not portrayed like heroes in this musical. More The opposite actually.
Yyyyeeeeaahh nah, thats definitely not the case here. Sophie is depicted as a manipulative and cruel mother who will do whatever she must to maintain the Hapsburg's power. Franz is depicted as a well meaning but blind traditionalist who becomes more and more resistant to the idea of progress as he gets older. Rudolph is actually depicted fairly positively, but has no real power for meaningful change. As for Elisabeth herself; she has a lot of good traits, and a lot of negative. Her need to be free of any and all shackles lead her to basically abandon everything. The whole point of the musical is to show the end of an era and the failings of the people that caused it.
Safe to say, no one's a hero in this musical. Just very flawed people trying to get by.
