- On the night of June 25, 1975, the then Congress government led by Indira Gandhi imposed a state of emergency, plunging the country into darkness. The 21-month period saw fundamental rights being suspended, civil liberties curtailed and critics put behind bars. Till date, the emergency of 1975 remains the darkest period in the history of independent India. Through this episode, we tell you the story of Emergency.

उस इमर्जेंसी मे बिना विपक्ष के बिल पारित नही होते थे, उस emergency मे एक ही सत्र मे 120 से ज्यादा विदायक को सस्पेंड नही किया गया था, उस emergency मे हतरस और मणिपुर जैसे कांड नही होते थे, उस emergency मे विपक्ष को बोलने दिया जाता था.or उस emergency मे लोकसभा tv or rajyasabha tv, दो अलग अलग चैनल होने के बावजूद सरकार की दलाली नही करते थे.
