Bucket List toy hunt spot for me. Being in NY makes it tough.
You guys still got A LOT of great spots in your area. It seems like the majority of the great spots for stores/cons/shows are in the eastern US. I live in the greater Los Angeles area and besides F&S, SDCC, LBCC, and LACC there's not too much else close for figs, sports, and comics.
Because people have been blowing up this spot on social media the prices on things there and many shops have gone up so much. Thanks a lot
Blast from the past was on Hollywood Way for years and years, the leather depot that use to be at their current location went out of business , they moved in and the place expanded 20 fold. I love this place , they have everything .. ..
My visit there was bitter sweet, it was incredible to be surrounded by so many awesome figures but then you start seeing the prices and damn, I couldn't buy much
Ditto. Stuff was cool to look at, but there were a lot of insane prices. Ended up just grabbing some comics from one of the reasonable vendors.
Yup I used to live near there and every time I went there was stuff that was supposed to be in stores for twice as much and the vintage prices were insane.
@@TrevorToonArt it looks like they sweep the whole area and then they just re sell it there becuase I couldn't find anything on all the local targets and walmarts
@@ryuhoshu3303 i think so. I NEVER see many black series figs in the stores. No mandalorian etc. Lo and behold, frank and sons guys got them all over for 3-4 times the price

I’m going next week for the first time I see they are only opened on Saturday Sunday and Wednesday. Any tips?
Go there as early as possible, the parking lot gets full really fast. Avoid parking on any businesses around there, they’ll tow away your car if you’re not a customer. Have fun and enjoy your time there and bring lots of moolah, it’s tax free if you’re paying cash.

Been going to Frank & Sons for over 25 years , since at least the mid late 90's , met Roddy Piper thanks to Frank & Sons ,he was signing at their former location not far from their current location.. met a lot a of cool people over there when they had autograph signings..
I live 20 minutes away from F&S but I go when I can even though I have a busy schedule. It's like the Disneyland of Swapmeets. Comics, figs, statues, sports memorabilia, anime, video games, posters, music, roleplay AND MORE!!! I swear I could spend 10 grand at this place and still be like: "Aww..wish I had money for that..."
I went on my birthday in early September and picked up a lot of great star wars figs for solid prices. Remember PD, next time your there, just start from the far left and take it one isle at a time...
That is so cool seeing the Plaid Stallions Knock-Offs book for sale there. It's an absolute treat.
Hell yeah! That BK Blind bag contained my absolute favorite Pokemon.

I can relate with this. I too would some times wander inside a toy shop just to look around and not buy anything. But over here we don't have anything as humongous as the stores shown in your videos. The hobby shops we have are mostly in shopping malls and they're in small shop lots, and they can see you entering and leaving. I sometimes feel bad when I enter their shops just to look around and not buy anything lol.

We just got home from Frank and Sons a few hours ago and there’s not a lot of vintage stuff and what they do have is expensive. There’s a big selection of hasbro marvel legends, pops, WWE, Star Wars and Pokémon cards. There’s some Anime stuff, sports memorabilia, statues/busts and other random booths. Save a trip and buy on eBay and other marketplaces. It’s surreal going there and then seeing your video., lol.

Loved the Star Trek: The Next Generation Innerspace toy line. It was so much fun being able to play with your favorite characters from the show in the different playsets. Picked up a carded Shuttlecraft playset from this series not long ago. Also, I loved Playmates toys The Simpsons line. They really went all out with all of the characters from the various seasons/ episodes that the show had made at the time.
Hey Dan,I began watching your videos for over two years and I've enjoyed all of them. I recently watched you defeat that nefarious matt cordona. I too had a pro wrestling match many years ago,sadly i lost via a sleeper hold. My best to you and your family from Vermont.
That was how my first trip went as well. I ended up with two pins and that was IT! Next few trips were considerably more expensive haha!
Much like Amoeba Records in Hollywood you absolutely have to go to Frank & Sons with a game plan and can't just show up on the Fly. You will get overwhelmed fast and yes that was a trash bag Bunch figure, love that line

I think it is less so now because times and distribution have changed but back when toys actually got wide distribution to retail stores it was still impossible to find anything in LA because scalpers would buy the store stock and resell them at Frank & Sons for twice the price.

I am about 25 minutes away from Frank & Sons. I do go from time to time, but the pricing and quality of vintage items can be hit or miss. Glad you had an opportunity to check it out though.

I forgot which fast food place had the pokeballs with the gold-plated Pokemon lake peace. I remember having several of those. Awesome toy hunt. Can't wait to see more down the line. Loved the McDonald's stuff at Frank and Sons. Gotta say, at both of these stops the still in package stuff looked to be reasonably price. If I'm ever out there to either of these places, I'm checking them out.

It's about an hour drive from me, so I don't go too often (especially now with the price of gas). Crazy! Like a Walmart sized store of just toys! I’ve always been looking for the Mega Man figures that were based off of the 90’s TV show. There were a lot back then. The latter ones like Drill Man & Bright Man always eluded me too. Then they got expensive online as years went on. There were regular sized ones & even mini ones. A couple play sets & a vehicle if I’m not mistaken too. I may need to come here. I bet Frank & sons has them.
i love frank & sons , i only live about 15mins away . i've been coming here almost every weekend . its kinda unforunate that the parking is always so full , sometimes you need to park in the 1hr parking , which is not enough time to look at everything . and they will tow your car if you pass the hour

the first time i went to frank and sons was 2012 hunting for arah joes they have evolved and moved to the current location a couple years ago..i worked there at a pop booth last summer..great place im always there...

Hey Dan! I don't know what day of the week you went, but Saturday is the best. Most vendors are there. They are opened usually on Wednesday night, Saturday and Sunday. Many vendors are not there Wednesday night though. Some are not there on Sunday. I am also familiar as to which stores are more reasonable in terms of price and which are totally overprice... which one you can bargain and which one won't hear you! Love to give you the download.

For nostalgia, I agree. But having AC in the summer at the new Frank's is better than the old no AC building with wall to wall BO. Just saying, lol

I remember this was one of the only places I could find POTF episode 1 Wattos Box for like $40.. had to buy it because lining up at Target at 8am and mad running for the toy isle against 15 other scalpers every morning was growing tiresome.. 👍

Cool place for sure, but what's with that pricing? LOL! Reminds me of "that guy" at a comic con who bags his entire collection uniformly in mylar no matter what the book and then prices everything at $40 each no matter what the book.
Pixel Dan tells us he's a 40+ year old without telling us he's a 40+ year old by having He - Man figures featured for most of the video.
@Pixel Dan a couple of the Ben 10 figures had a piece of paper on them saying from the collection of Derrick J Wyatt. DJW was the art designer on Ben 10 Omniverse and Transformers Animated shows on Cartoon Network. He passed away in December 2021.
Looking forward for you to receive and do the review on the 40th anniversary He-man and other new Masterverse figures...
