    So I’m autistic and I’m making a big connection here with the fact that autistic people often/usually have so much day to day trauma from environment and interactions that we either have meltdown (shaking body/ repetitive movements) and or dissociate. Many of us also have tics. We have complex trauma and chronic pain.
    Apparently many of our other tendencies are more closely related to non human mammals (difficulty with eye contact etc). I can see loads of links here and excited to learn more about TRE.

    Incredibly intersting. The only time i can remember tremering was immediately after giving birth to both of my boys. It shocked my husband the first time, but the midwife just smiled and said, "Oh, she's fine. Her body is just responding to the birth."
    I'm definitely hung to give this a look. I've been suffering with chronic back and hip pain for months and this is a modality that I have not yet investigated.

    Dr.Joe Dispenza student here!
    I knew about and practiced TRE before I started meditating with Dr Joe but I didn’t make the connection until now! Once or twice a week during my meditation, as I am about to go deep, the shaking starts pretty hard too! It’s either in my legs or in my arms! Just the other day I thought of laying down and my body started shaking as it did when I did TRE!
    Would you guys agree that the energy stored in my cells in being released? If you know anything about Dr Joe is that he believes in a Divine Intelligence that heals us 🎉

    Dr David Bercelli is such a wonderful being. Thanks for this interview. I found TRE about 4 years ago in a very, very stressful time and it helped so much. In the begining there were times in which I did TRE during the day and late at night while reading a book out of nowhere I started to do this wild movements with lotsa tension, weird bodyposition and I felt like the girl from "The Exorcist". For whatever reason I felt safe, let it happen and I told myself that my body relearned that it can readjust itself with out me (my mind) interfering. It was such a wild experience and it helped a lot with tension AND most important I was always able to stop it whenever I wanted to. Like with a lot of things I stopped doing it regulary, but once a month I come back to Bercellis YT Page, be inspired and do it again. Together with breathwork and all the other things it can really make life much more enjoyable (and I am a person who also enjoyed life before).

    I came across this quotation recently:
    “To the North American Indian, "medicine" meant more than a substance to restore health and vitality to a sick or maladjusted body. "Medicine" was energy - a vital power or force that was inherent in Nature itself.
    A person's "medicine" was their power - the expression of their own life-energy system.”

Watched this interview two hours later, all yesterday, and my whole diaphragm shook in a more intense way than ever before throughout the interview, I assume from Robin's exercise. Your tremoring was very impressive. I have always tremored standing up so interesting to learn TRE does so lying down! But 100% the same energy. What a great video, now following.

I think, we don't need no further technologies or innovations that make our lifes "easier", no more personal goals that seem to be our "redemtion" , no more wasting of time for nothing and telling our children to do the same... Today i know, the only thing that really matters is our INVESTMENT INTO LIBERATION and coming back home into our peace that has always been there and waiting four our surrender. Thank you guys so much for your contribution to this most important task.❤ Salve.

    You should really read some of Arthur Janov's books about Primal Therapy. TRE is like a partial approach of it. But it misses the whole emotional side that you alluded to in your interview. Crying and screaming, and the emotional release that goes with reliving trauma. Yes, the TRE doctor is right, his intuitions are good, but TRE just scratches the surface of the ingrained pain. It was a good interview all the samel. What your body does (spasm, jerks, shivering, arching etc) is just part of a brain memory. To be released, trauma must be felt with the emotional side AT THE SAME TIME as the body "talks". It goes much further. Good luck.

    • @sheri023
      @sheri023 11 месяцев назад +4

      Right. What is missing is the reason for the body to defend in the first place. It's when our needs aren't met, we have to shut down to not feel the neglect for instance, because it is painful and threatens our survival as babies and children. "Primal Healing" is a good book to read about the "missing link" here, don't you agree, my fellow primaller? If emotions come up during trembling, we ought to let them happen too. It's not just the getting in touch with our primitive physical responses, it's the connection to the emotion that caused them. That is what is freeing.

    • @zvonazvon
      @zvonazvon 3 месяца назад +2

      I will disagree. I ve been dealing with many symptoms and chronic fatigue and insomnia for 12 years. Tried many therapies, and never ever words, emotional work had any effect, it made me close immediately. My controlling unconscious part would not allow even touch the trauma. And only when I fee that 1) i am safe 2) nobody asks me about emotions as I already HATE and get defensive after many years of attempts 3) when the therapist only lets my body release what it needs to release ( tre, biodinamics), only then I feel some effect.this is exactly cool that such technics don't go into emotions DIRECTLY. As my brian will never let anyone in, even if it can help..

    • @sebastianromero420
      @sebastianromero420 3 месяца назад

      Primal scream therapy was a bad fad. People died from torn esophageal vessels (Barrett’s esophagus) due to the sheer screaming. They would also stay at local hotels where they would be given benzodiazepines to suppress the emotions that came up after the sessions when they were all alone in their rooms.

      @@sebastianromero420 Where did you get this info?? I went to the Primal Institute in LA for a couple of months, never heard of anything like that. Primal therapy worked on me and all the others I met there. In fact, you were not allowed to take benzos...Primal therapy is not about screaming, it's about getting to the underlying memory/incident and releasing it, integrating, and not being controlled by the symptoms anymore, not needing to act out anymore. Screaming and rage is not the bottom line emotion. Underneath it is profound sadness and grief. Surrendering to that is the challenge. Rage is an intrapsychic defense mechanism.

    The very first time I did TRE, I came to appreciate having a body and being able to move for the first time. Ever since my body has expanded it's reperoire of movements - some movements tend to repeat, some are new. Everytime my body surprises me. Just recently, my body started coupling breathing with the tremors. Today it did the fire breath. It's fascinating what happens if you completely surrender to its intelligence.
    I also noticed that I only drink and eat what my body really wants (which ended up being clean foods) and when it wants it.

      @@TAKEADEEPBREATH A good point to start is the Book "Bioenergetics" from Alexander Lowen. Lowen studied from Wilhelm Reich, who was imo over 100 years aheard of his time how to approach trauma and psychological issues in general. Studying this part of history is basically an eye opener and you can find many similarities with "modern" society and power structures. Hint, it hasnt changed much 😄

  • @denise2169
    @denise2169 5 месяцев назад

    Hello, yes, I agree. Many people are doing great work in his area.
    Not just humans tremor, but also animals naturally do this, to release tension and stress, for example, when they have been attacked or chased by a predator. It is only humans who have been conditioned by society, to not only control their stress and strong emotions, but to suppress and keep these strong, so-called “negative” emotions, instead of naturally releasing this energy.
    Dr Peter Levine and Stephen Porges have also done great work about trauma, and have different approaches that can help us to release these suppressed emotions. You might interview them as well. I have tried the trembling, which didn’t work for me, but have used Levine’s work, which uses the breath, to help me release blocked energy and emotions.
    you might also interview Dr Peter Levine, who helps clients use the breath to gently release trauma of any origin. He and Stephen Porges have done a lot of work around trauma release too.

      From my experience, that can be part of it, as stored stress and thus also emotions find place to (finally) release and therefore also unpleasant feelings can come up (which might actually just indicate that the releasing is happening).
