I love the way that you do things and the fact that you share every aspect of your process with us. I really appreciate you showing how you store your dried pressed flowers. I’ve been saving mine in little folded waxed paper bundles but I find that if I do not use them soon, they can degrade and or/ lose color. The tip on sealing them first and storing in the airtight container WITH the little silica bundle…. 🌟 PURE GENIUS SIR!🌟 I thank you again for sharing your amazing crafting sorcery.
This is going to help me out a lot. I had recently gotten a bouquet from my grandma for my 16th birthday and I wanted to preserve them for resin. But a lot of the videos had supplies listed that I had absolutely no idea what they were. But I don’t have the resin yet because I have never done it before and the flowers obviously won’t last til I can get the supplies in
What a great video, I was gonna try and dry my own flowers, but didn’t know how to go about doing it. Now I know!!😉 you always put out a video right when I need to know something!!! 👍 😘 thanks all the way from Fayetteville North Carolina!!!!!

This was a great tutorial, but I saw something recently that I had a question about. Does dehydrating flowers do the same thing as drying them in silica? I saw some resin art recently where the flowers still looked like they were fresh/wet but the seller said they were 'dehydrated and preserved'.
Thank you for this video. It's a big help for for me as I have a cannabis to do....P.S. you also reminded me I have cannabis leaves in a book I forgot about lol they should be dry now. It's been about 3 months lol oops 😬
Great video. I've been putting my pressed flowers in and old style photo album with the clear page that sticks. It seems to work really well. Looking forward to the flowers in resin videos 👍
I have been using this exact method to dry my roses from my rose bushes, however they have all darkened to almost black and lost all their color. I have watched several videos on how to prevent this and preserve their color but haven't found anything helpful. Could I get some suggestions, please? Could it be because I press them face-up instead of face-down? Any tips would be appreciated! Thank you!
Very, Very cool! I just bought some dried flowers from eBay from a seller in another part of my state. I was wondering if it was something I should do myself. I'm not sure if I will, but you have removed the mystery that surrounded the process for me. Thank you ! 💐😄
How would you suggest pressing a bell flower(im assuming that is what it is) its purple and inside flower it has slight depth. Would you face it side ways or ...? Each time i tried it doesnt look good lol
P.S. Just took a look at the rest of your videos, and you are seriously talented. I have never used resin nor do I think I'll be using it any time soon, but I subscribed anyway just to see what you come up with!
I pressed some flowers between two parchment lined cookies sheets and they molded. Help. What did I do wrong? We live in Colorado so the air is plenty dry
This is not a good video. The entire project is free to do (even silica can be substituted with dry white rice, much safer and non toxic). I really hope no one went and bought a bunch on unnecessary stuff for a kids project.
I only recently 'discovered' you... nd my daughter and I absolutely love you !
My mom has a mutated bed of clovers, a lot of four leaf clovers grow in her yard! Definitely will be giving this a try 🥰
Oh cool!
Orchids are my favorite 😍
Thank you so very much for your guidance

We used to press the fall leaves just between, what we call wax paper with an iron, many years ago.
Thanks a million for your video, you have helped me for this new beginning project
They look so pretty!!!! They don’t look faded
Love this!! Ready to store my flowers

Very well shot and helpful video. Thank you 🙏🏼
#Flower I press my flowers basically the same way! I call it old school. I’ve never thought to seal them though! Thank you for this!
Thanks sm for making this video. It’s really helpful, especially as someone who’s relatively new to pressing flowers :D
Very interesting! I will try this. Thanks!

# I work all the time with Art pressed flowers
Can hair spray be used as a sealing spray?
Can I use any brand of acrylic sealer spray?
How would you suggest pressing a bell flower(im assuming that is what it is) its purple and inside flower it has slight depth. Would you face it side ways or ...? Each time i tried it doesnt look good lol
Gently..... CRUNCH LMAO 😂
Do you happen to know if you'd seal the flowers for paper crafts as well like cards and such?
P.S. Just took a look at the rest of your videos, and you are seriously talented. I have never used resin nor do I think I'll be using it any time soon, but I subscribed anyway just to see what you come up with!
haha - press gently lol. Some great top tips there Steve. I love drying the flowers, following your tips, they always come out great
Can i use baking paper instead
I pressed some flowers between two parchment lined cookies sheets and they molded. Help. What did I do wrong? We live in Colorado so the air is plenty dry
Waxy parchment paper can’t soak up the flowers moisture. You need a paper that can absorb the moisture
Thank you.
Thanks Steve that was really helpful. Flowers # :)
Thanks.
Did all flower will remain their color? I wanna do my own press flower I'm afraid that the color will become faded.
Do the flowers absolutely have to be sealed before putting in resin? Or can they be used without sealing?
Thanks 👍
How did you dry the rose?
How would we know if the flowers are completely dry!?
Thx Steve beautiful love ❤️
How many days minimum, loosing Color, and changing Color in resin,
What spray did you use on them?
Steve McDonald Arts and Crafts Thank you!

Think it messed up a little bit later the end looks like the pink orchids stuck when you seal them
#Flowers
I’ve tried it with orchids SO MANY times and they always come out crazy moldy 😭
#flower
Have you ever pressed bleeding hearts? They’re so thick and full of moisture that it doesn’t seem possible.
