This couldn't have come at a better time! I'm a road runner who's just starting to dip his toe into trail running. At this price point, and review this could be my gateway shoe into more trail running.
Interesting, sounds good. I got the Wildhorse 8 but find it very brick-like. Curiously it also doesn' t have a toe-bumper where this lighter and more nimble one does. Maybe I should try this one.
You seem like someone who might know. The reason I like the zagama so much, is that it feels like the foam is thicker under the big toe. Nike has done this with a few shoes in the past but never call it out (Nike footscape). I tend to toe off through my big toe a lot, but the zagama, having more foam under the toe, supports my foot more than a true neutral shoe, so I toe off much better. Does the kiger do this at all? For reference, I tried the Pegasus trail 4 and was definitely not liking how empty it felt under the ball of my feet.
Hi. So the kiger is approx 4 mm drop so rhere is not much difference in cushion from heal to toe - same with the zegama but the Peg is approx 10 mm so it does feel thinner up front … I know what you mean !
Hi mate, quality review. Thanks for it. I am looking for some trail boots and Nike Kiger 9 is also on the list. What about running in the mud? Do they slip or not?
Hi. Thanks. The grip is considerably better but that said - in mud, still not brilliant but then not many shoes are. It’s definitely a great trail shoe though ..
@@RunSensible not at the moment, I find the workflow so much easier with the DJI pocket 3 as it’s so stable for outdoor use then marries up with indoor content nicely
You are my undoing, James....😡 I'm buying a huge amount of shoes that I can barely test completely. Now I want absolutely try this TK 9 . I had version 5 and then version 7....now I've got the urge to try this version 9..... Thank you...😁
@@phillipcooper1605 Really? I know that on the nine they have removed the air zoom on the front but still feel slightly more cushioned than the eight which feels firmer. Can you confirm this for me? If you have both, can you describe me the differences in detail? Thanks a lot
@@jumpyl.h.8230 it might all be personal preference but i definitely felt that shoe felt more responsive. I toe strike so possibly better for me with the air zoom unit. The react foam is obviously a little outdated now but i still felt like it performed well and in my opinion the outsole was better (although still not the best) i dont recommended muddy trail with it. I dont know if you have tried the zegama 2s yet but if you price isnt a concern id definitely get a pair as they are the best ive tried so far. Really fixed the stability problems with the vibram outsole
@@phillipcooper1605 Really thanks for your opinion on Tk8 e Tk9. Appreciated. I know (and I realizzato it) about he problem of outsole Nike slippery on web surfaces. I've tested the zegama 2 (not the first versione) with the new vibram outsole that is really great but, as many other runners, I had problem with heel slippage which obvously dependance on the individual shape of each person's foot, therefore is very subjective. Again, thanks a lot...👍
Cracking review as usual mate. Thanks for shedding a bit of light on the often overlooked Terra Kiger. Keep the content coming bud! 😎🤘
Thanks Mate … appreciate the feedback as always Ben

Hopefully this should work perfectly and ease you into trail running nicely !
I just thought that would be a lot lighter, but with the react Phone, which is kind of heavy, I guess that’s normal

Just got a pair… love ‘em! Love ‘em even more that I got them for about $50 😁😁
Great stuff … what a deal!
Great review! Might have to snag a pair of these for the price.
Thanks … 🙏
Great review, James. Was all the outdoor shots taken on the DJI Action 4?
Cheers Neil. Yup, indoors all on the DJI pocket 3 and outdoors DJI action 4 ! (Any drone shot : DJI mini 4 pro!)

I recommend the 8s if you can find a pair. Personally i found them the best out of all of them. The 9s were pretty good but the 8s felt more rapid
