See, this is why I knew you'd love the Nelson region - so raw and untouched! You can always find a solitary place on a beach, over the Takaka Hills - the feeling's pretty impossible to describe, but you do a great job! ❤
What a beautiful video, Brittany! 👏You truly have a talent for capturing the beauty in every scenery you share with us.💕 It's amazing! We're taking notes of all these places and hope to visit them someday.🙏Enjoy your trip.💕 Thank you.💕
What a great video! I could see Golden Bay and Wharariki beach being a little less common for travellers but I couldn’t agree with you more, definitely one of the most untouched landscapes here that completely blew me away.
Awesome video guys - the birdsong was such a nice inclusion (so glad you picked up a Tui call) and brings back loads of memories of NZ christmases when I was a kid - looks a fun road trip - hope you had better luck with pie hunting the next day!
Was so hoping you were gonna say Jandals 😁 you both are starting to give off the vibe of embracing NZ rather than fighting it. Once you accept that it's different and quirky and you lose your expectations and comparisons that's when NZ truly opens up and just melts your heart. It probably won't even be until you guys leave that it will truly sink in 🥝 🇳🇿 you should start to see some stunning pohutukawa soon, aka the New Zealand Xmas tree 🙌
Haha we are definitely embracing a lot here now! I think the stress of constantly travelling for the first 6 months or so had its toll too. Now we're settled and in the same spot, it's really refreshing! I'm really looking forward to going home to Canada though 😊 I'll keep an eye out for those trees! They look gorgeous in photos 😍
Ok so we may have watched these out of order 😆 Deer sticks are so so good, especially with beer! We absolutely loved exploring Takaka, but the road is so sketchy! Great vlog!
Haha thanks 🥰 I hope it wasn't too confusing out of order! That Takaka Hill road was just wow LOL. I was lucky no one was on my butt behind us or I would have been way more stressed.
Man it sure was beautiful over there, if you wanted to do you think you could have gone for a swim without experiencing hypothermia? Also was there any sand flies there? 👀
It's so incredible!! No swimming allowed at this beach, I think the current/waves are too strong and dangerous. It was ice cold too haha. Not a single sandfly on the beach! Maybe it was too windy. I encountered some at the campsite and got bitten but it really wasn't bad. No mosquitoes either!

The Tui song is one of my favourite things in NZ!! Simply beautiful. I'm glad this brought back some nice memories for you 😊
What a beautiful video Brittany. You captured the colours and the mood really well.🙂
Thank you 🥰🥰

The Pohutukawa in northland are flowering like crazy at the moment. Fair to say they have survived the burn that Gabriel bought ❤️🇳🇿
@@jaredford8440 I just saw some down the street from us tonight for the first time! Just starting to bloom 🎄

Gravel roads with slipons! That's hard core. Kudos.
It was a mission!! At least the bottoms of them are quite thick which helped.
Wow i cant believe you went to the windows wallpaper on pc:)
It was so cool!!! Unbelievably gorgeous place. I can see why they chose it.
