Love Stacy's surprised face! And Pies! I love pies. New Zealand is super RV friendly and that makes me happy. Living vicariously through your videos! Safe travels cheers!
You guys are bloody lovely. Just had a shit day, missing my home of NZ. I'm stuck in the UK.We're totally screwed You are blessed. God bless Aotearoa. And the ABs just done the Aussies. Choice!
Awesome video! Loved all the unplanned expressions and unknown sites to see. Made for a very impromptu VLOG which are often the best. How terrific to see all the various terrain and climates of NZ. Wonderfully done my friends!
What a terrific find with this tiny home. Beer's included WIN:) 16 episodes in and honestly the NZ government tourist officials need to hire you two. Even with cloudy days there's stunning vista's everywhere. We feel like fools for not see more when were there. Too bad you couldn't drone over those pancake rocks and water. Thanks for another wonderful share, Best wishes, James and Kim
Love the West Coast. Got family in Paringa, nothing better than going on a jet boat adventure up the Paringa River on a good day. You're not wrong about St. Anaud either, gem of a spot.
Fab as always. My first NZ tour was North Island in 2016 in Traveller’s Autobahn Campervan. West Coast, Rotorua local waterfall dip, and the Avocado area farms were the best. My teenagers and I are hopeful to relo on work Visa soon. Cheers.
At Charleston if you take a little detour off down to the Charleston Harbour you can see where ships sailed into the bay, which has a rock in the middle of it. quite neat
Hokitika Gorge is Beautiful, Reefton on the West Coast of the South Island was the first place in New Zealand to get Electricity, Lake Matheson between Franz Joseph Glacier and Fox Glacier has a beautiful reflection in the Water in Winter from the Mountains in the background
Awesome, awesome, and some more awesome! Really really can't wait to get there. Please keep your fingers crossed that they open a border exemption for teachers really soon so we can stop existing in limbo and start actually living!
@@DaneAndStacey Thanks. Looking pretty doom and gloom at the mo.. feels like we never going to be able to call NZ home and live the life we have dreamed of for so long! Over 200 applications rejected so far... yay...so good for the confidence level... majority saying "due to Covid" though which at least makes me feel a little less useless". Guess I should not be applying when I know there is no exemption for me but positions commence in Feb, circumstances could change tomorrow and there is no harm in being hopeful... or is there..😳😭? I promise I would not run away from quarantine or complain lol. 🙈 Hope u guys are all good!
The Nelson Lakes National Park is worth a vlog on its own,and a stayover at St.Arnaud is a must,as youre just on the boundaries of Tasman and Marlborough districts.Had a quick stopover earlier this year, and its a definite return trip to stay longer and explore more, maybe take the backroad back to one of NZs oldest town - Wakefield.
You are bringing back some great memories. Did the West Coast in reverse (from Queenstown to Nelson) back in 2004(ish) with some Aussie friends and we had a wonderful time. Saw Fox glacier by foot from the look out and then by helicopter which I absolutely recommend as that perspective is just stunning. Sad to see how much our glaciers have receded since then but from your expression Stacey, they still pack a punch! Safe travels 👍🏽😊
Amazing once again! Those pancake rocks looks like such a cool rock formation! I want to pour syrup on them! As for the seals, there are many in my home of the California Coast, USA. Hopefully one day you guys can do a USA series.
4:29 No surprises that Stacey loves wearing a portable doona in that weather... ☺ 8:07 Cookie looked underwhelming, the pie (guessing beef?) looked noice & flakey... ♥
You should have done the glow worms caves when you stopped for the pie! I've been hoping you guys would go to one of them this whole series! The pancake rocks looked very cool, and I love the walkways/bridges!
Our priority was definitely the pie 😂 They're quite hard to film in low light and the most famous one (Waitomo) doesnt allow filming. Hopefully we can tick this off one day for you :)
@@DaneAndStacey well that's perfectly understandable (focus on pie), because New Zealand's pies basically look worth coming for just them alone! I wondered if the filming in the caves was an issue. Do they allow photography (non-flash)? Loving your vlog series even without the glowworms!
@@DaneAndStacey Waitomo may be the most famous one... but which one in your opinions is the nicest glow worm cave? Is the Waitomo the deep underground one?
Good stuff. You didn't get the blowhole activity? Presumably because it was low tide. In which case Truman Track just down the road is the place to see instead or as well.
Dane sings 🎵 "in the misty eye" 🎵 Stacey's face is all 😲... Dane's like "Lets leave" meanwhile I'm killing myself laughing!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I adore your sense of humour. Those pancake rocks were stunning and the gorge and overhang were epic! Hope you guys didn't open that bottle of pop any time soon after hurling it across the campervan! 👍
Oh thank you! We do record them at home, we use a Rode USB Mini microphone (It's honestly not the best) Dane wishes he paid a little more and got a Yetti Mic instead - we have to be really careful not to get too close and make that popping noise.
Shame you visited the pancake rocks at low tide. At high tide, particularly with a heavy surf, the sea vents up through holes in the rocks and sprays up geyser-like in assorted spots.
So, you guys are pretty decked out for winter...I'm curious, how cold is it usually in New Zealand? Because us Canadians tend to look like that when it hits -1°degrees or so
We really feel the cold because we've lived in warm climates for the last 3+ years. We did hit the negatives in the early morning but generally it was below 10 degrees on this trip (middle of winter)
Wow guys amazing video and I can’t wait for the next one Can I ask over in NZ is there lots of sand flys that bite? As I enjoy wearing shorts in the cold “I know I’m a crazy Aussie lol” but my brother said when your in NZ you don’t need to worry about shorts as it’s not a hot place like Aus NZ is more like a cool place.
Yes we have sandflies there.some are huge.i did hear that u can take one of the vitamin B tablets and they dont like it.ofcourse u have to overdose on it so its throughout the body to the skin.just cant remember which vit.b it is
Honestly we were expecting it to be A LOT worse but maybe because it was the middle of winter they weren't as bad? When we went to Milford Sound in the summer we were eaten alive but if you have a bug spray with deet they will leave you alone and you can enjoy time in your shorts!
"Far over the misty mountains cold" is the song that came up to your mind.
Thats the one! Haha won't be singing that again anytime soon 😂
Love Stacy's surprised face! And Pies! I love pies. New Zealand is super RV friendly and that makes me happy. Living vicariously through your videos! Safe travels cheers!

Thanks Jim! Definitely a very spontaneous few days, so nice to just go with the flow and see where the wind takes us.
The seals!!! I’m obsessed with animals and when I saw them I died, they’re so cute, and I’d definitely have the same reaction and Stacey 😂😂
You guys are the best!!! So fun seeing your adventures

Looks so pretty! This is deff a bucket list place!!!
Definitely! Such an awesome place :)
Looking forward to hearing your first album!😉
Another great peep at your beautiful country guys. Really loving this series!

Great video as usual. What a wild and beautiful coast.
Thank you, the coastline is epic!

Try Ross Beach Top 10 Camping park next time. It is fantastic. The local bar/hotel is amazing (Historic Empire Hotel )
