I have an all Shotgun build with my burn resistance at 90%. I've been able to solo heroic control points. It's hard but fun. I love heroic world difficulty.
There’s another mechanic to do with heroic difficulty in this game that I didn’t know was even a thing, but it is. It’s to do with targets! I will explain. There are 4 open world difficulties: normal, hard, challenging and heroic. To put simply: if your world difficulty is set to normal, then heroic is 4 times as difficult than normal. However if your world difficulty is on hard, or challenging, or heroic. Then heroic target missions will be harder accordingly. I had my world on heroic and tried numerous times to solo a heroic, single boss target mission. I got insta killed over and over. I got so peed off that I dropped my world to normal and tried it again. This time I did it and it was about as hard as a standard heroic mission. It gave me the impression that there was a hidden mechanic that was making heroic targets in a heroic world 8 times as difficult as a normal target in a normal world.
The one thing I've noticed, and this could be completely wrong, is the more uncaptured control points you have the faster the others reset. So If I have 3 uncaptured, 1 or 2 might reset a day. If I've captured them all, I tend to have to wait several days before they reset. Prior to Venus forcing a reset on the applicable CPs, I had them all captured, and it had been like that for just over a week. Once the Northeast CPs had reset for the manhunt, several CP in the Southeast started to reset and adjacent CP's have slowly continued to turn red. Again, could be wrong here, but I'm going to keep a minimum of two or three CPs red going forward.
With the DLC I've ONLY been playing on open world heroic and not because I wanted to. I never realized that there was another setting. So for me, heroic always is regular play. Only after understanding the system better did I realize that I could change it. But since this is the only way I ever play the DLC (at least in solo play), I have no reason to change it. I was thinking that this was simply the new way the game played.

Gamey/all - chatterbox can be had at level forty the same way the original was crafted from the components from hyena boxes. SMG loaded canister is in Hyena key boxes in Downtown East. / SMG creative magazine is in Hyena key boxes in Federal Triangle. / SMG modified mods is in Hyena key boxes in Judiciary square. Modified mods was in a hidden Hyena box right next to the DZ wall, just North of the key found in the burnt out building. You'll know you found it when you see a narrow alley way with a typical yellow lock on the gate. The key box is down that alley walkway and up a couple ladders. There also will be a supply crate hung up - up there. Assuming you already have the blu-print from your level thirty chatterbox you can go craft the level 40 chatterbox. If not, step 4 is to run the Bank Headquarters mission and raid the secret key that opens the barred doors, as soon as you get through he vault doors the Hyena box on the floor will drop the blu-print. Good luck ! Here is the video page I used - ruclips.net/video/Mx9-9BnDM7A/видео.html
Another thing I think Heroic level 4 CP is messing people up so much is the way people choose to approach them. A lot of people (me included when I'm sloppy) like to attack a CP from what I like to call "Shooting Gallery" angles, usually from the front where they have line of sight (LOS) on many enemies at the same time, and maybe has eyes on enemy spawn points. It makes sense on some levels since you can watch for all the enemy flanking and skill usage. You also have all these delicious targets lined up in your FOV so you can be lazy and just point and shoot COD style without moving. Demolition Point comes to mind where you can attack from street level head on and have 3 floors of enemies in your view... But at the same time, all these enemies have sights on you, and right away you'd realize that every time you pop out to shoot, there are 5 heroic enemies shooting back at you. You are essentially trading damage with multiple enemies, and your armor just instantly melt. All of a sudden there's a grenade lobbed at you, a rusher trying to flush you out, and you are too low to change cover or pop out to shoot. Sitting duck. "Shooting Gallery" spots are okay for some skill builds, in particular turrets builds that prefer less movement and wide FOV on the engagement; but if you are running a gun build, forget it. Instead, gun builds need to take the opposite approach. Using Demolition Point as example; approach from side street around the corner and draw enemies onto the narrower street. Limit your sights on as few enemies as you can, funnel them into your FOV, slowly move up as you take them down, and be ready to retreat down the street when a new group spawns. CPs are unlike missions in that players have full control on how combat starts and what form it takes. Gotta respect the heroic enemies and plan your battles carefully.

What I hate about running open world on heroic, is that I feel I’m playing mouse and cat with the npc. Just aiming them will make them take cover as fast as possible. It’s ridiculous. And I can’t just stay in cover for a second because they will start throwing grenades from all directions. Honestly, I prefer how the games was before the warlord of new York update.
All you need to do is reset the manhunt and farm control points instead of joining another players world. Best way to do heroic MLK library is to climb the rope to the platform and use flamethrower and pestilence or bullet king when they come up but they will focus more on the civilian leader when he is down.
I tried doing a level 4 control point on heroic and for shredded lol. Maybe I didn't have good enough fear yet. But I'm still on normal difficulty level in the world.
I'll just stay in my lane and continue to play on normal. I have a great time playing it and i absolutely love playing like that. I'll leave that heroic level to all you pro players..SALUTE to you all.
@@jinx3773 I didn't mean that as a disrespect, of course, good on them. You can try changing your world difficulty to challenging btw, it's really not that hard. You don't need god builds or anything, just equip whatever has more weapon damage core attribute (or whatever you like, really). The drop chance for exotics on Challenging is 5% and on Heroic is 7%. Really not worth it in my opinion.
Great points. It amplifies the imbalance. I'd normally roll around on Challenging open world. But there are a few missions, looking at you Federal Emergency Bunker, that are more difficult than any control point at that level. So I find myself constantly changing the open world difficulty, because the mission difficulty choices are tied to it. They should be separate. Control Points, I understand, they're part of the open world. But missions & strongholds should have independent mission parameters.
The open world gives me the better experience than the Heroic missions with canned enemy spawns. The open world is always fresh. You never know where the enemy may spawn. I play with all the directives too. Heroic open world is good stuff. On a side not i joined somone's session as back up to do a level 4 CP. The guy just attacked when a patrol was close. I was thinking WTF is he doing, then I noticed his world level was set to hard. On heroic you would have to deal with that patrol or wait for it to pass.
"That LMB Patrol" lol Oh how i wish the LMBs are back i guess i can only dream... damn... you bought me hope by saying that gameydaddy good one bud! Anyways thanks for the contents you're providing to div2 community!
My control points do reset but not as often as they used to. Or should. I cleared 3 for the manhunt and 1 out of the 3 reset and then the next day another one did.
My rng must really suck, i watched some vids about maybe a exotic loot drop buff and you also mention it. I played for about 7 hours today and ran the same mission 5 times on heroic, ran several others on heroic, did i think 6 heroic checkpoints and global world on heroic in dc and NY and got 0 exotics....died about 100 times lol but did get several god rolls. So not sure why or how some are getting these drops so lucky cause im not at all
I did 3 lvl 4 control points heroic map and when I opened the supply rooms I was seeing purple, that itself is enough for me to ditch the game after 3 lvl 4 control points I would expect at least 1 exotic only yellows if not and no purples but that’s this game it’s still very broken
Very true it's a whole different ballgame. It's easy to get melted just getting over to the control points. A tip is to fast travel to a mission or a friendly convoy that is close to where you need to go. Catch me on twitch tag is cryptogamerdude
Typically you dont encounter named npc on level 3 CP , but theirs is small chance of encountering a named npc on level 3 CP. I have encountered 2 named npc on Lv 3 CP and ironically both were True Son bosses.
Also, I changed my NY open word to heroic yesterday. Played for about 2 hours. Loot is not much better. I didn't get one gear piece with a god rolled stat. No exotics either
For me the difficullity is not much a problem. But the biggest problem is the loot. How the hell I finished 5 CP level 4 and still all of the boxes are low tier high end or purple ?
Will say, not sure if it's a glitch or just very rare but I did get a named NPC as a boss on an alert level 3 control point yesterday. Lieutenant Sawyer was his name, don't recall the exact control point location off of the top of my head
Did this.Lv4 controle point and then 2 rogue agents come play along.Sweating like a pig wtf.Good i have my rifle to keep distance.I also notice that exotics drop is more but the quality off the exotics is not so good.
That’s why there was people cheating in the game all because if you’re solo and having to deal with all the spawning around a certain area while one is trying take over a control points. At least the creators should give exotics to solo players only that complete any heroic.
@@onlypink3797 Yup. Got two more yesterday. It's like the game is trolling me. The last 14 or 15 exotic drops I've had now have been them regardless of faction/location.
Im playing Challenging difficulty and get absolutely wrecked. I am hit for 1 mil+ regularly. I drop a world difficultly and i get absolute crap loot, I go up in difficulty and i can’t complete anything. I am stuck in a catch 22 as a solo player. I don’t mind it being difficult, what i do kind is being 1 shot or 2 shot on regular basis. Or my skills not working properly, or the fact that i’m getting purpled for loot on a Tier 3 world setting.
Is the time that I saw this video with the damage lich still in the game. And if you team up with somebody through matchmaking unless it's somebody you personally know and they use the damage glitch there's the potential of you being banned it has happened. I will wait until they get that fixed before I came up with anybody for anything unless I personally know them
My control points in New York haven't reset since the first week of the expansion. I tried bumping my world difficulty up to Heroic and they were all still green. FML.
First started doing heroic level half a week ago. first CP i got 5 teals with good rolls. since then. nothing worth while has dropped. all that hard work for junk cause apparently rng hating me on that game right now.
Heroic control points are not that difficult solo. Also heroic is unbearable in New York in the open world because the enemies spawn in every 10 feet. The exotic drop rate is garbage. I’ve beaten all the legendaries I play on heroic for all the missions and the open world and yet I’ve only gotten 2 exotics since warlords came out and I play everyday usually for about 4 hours or more!!
Control points are the only heroic content I can do consistently 😂 forget missions and bounties it's like a 50/50 whether I can even do them at all... Having those green NPCs is a godsend I think they're actually overtuned atm 😂 they are nice to have tho cos the enemy NPCs are even more fuckin crazy...
Ive been trying to run my open world on heroic but i get wrecked hard. So much of a different between challenging and heroic. The loot im getting on challenge sucks. I seriously dont know what im going to do if massive nerfs my gear
Love Gamey Daddy. Love his vids, but sometimes listening to them is like reading an 8th grade term paper where you're trying to hit 1500 words by rephrasing the same thing over and over.
It was one of those videos I wanted to do last week before the ban and put it on the back burner till it was almost late.😂😀😂😂 That reference though had me in tears.
check this...doing level 4...elite patrol shows up as well as resource convoy and local enemy territory...keep in mind i am solo..i manage to survive the entire ordeal and actually clear the checkpoint and BAM!!! 2 fucking rogue agents show up out of no where (there answer to hunters)..one i manage to kill pretty quick tanking him with pestilence..but the other one was super scion..healing drones and box as well as fire flys and an attack drone..no joke took me good 15 minutes to kill the bastard to finaly get the checkpoint completion to pop up and got the sweet dreams and a piece of providence gear with all stats maxed.the only god roll piece of gear i have ever seen since playing the division as a whole 1 and 2 and will probably be the only one i ever see..if this should happen to you ..just know that those rogue agents are no joke and after looking it up they can drop on you anytime when clearing these checkpoints...all you get for a warning is isac saying ..rogue agents detected and then they are on you..great video bro lots of information for the people..solo guys a good strategy is to engage the check point..then back out and mop up the local patrols that will be on the fringe of your radar..this helps keep them from showing up and flanking you and check your map often for elite patrols showing up or in the area and black tusk are just assholes and more often than not show up on a level 4 control points just to be assholes..much respect as always daddy.
Why did they decide to give the control point officer a pistol???????? He's almost always going down in terrible spots. Give that fool an LMG..sheeesh. The encounters that can happen all at once is why I enjoy Heroic control points + map the most. A lot of things can happen in the blink of an eye.
What's the point in farming anything, since almost none of the backpack talents are working? This game has so many issues, it's too many to list. I'd wait til it gets fixed before wasting anymore time on it.
I just tried 2 backpack talents after reading your comment and they worked. Creeping death didn't respond at first, but then after a second status effect i put on NPC's, it worked.
But wouldn't that screw up the other persons session if you just farm their CP's wouldn't be a nice thing to do? Don't know exactly how this Matchmaking works.
@@DaGamerDad Ok, good to know. However I think they mentioned in last sotg that cp's should be fixed next week, changing global difficulty resets them.

They are not pro players, just full time youtubers that play the entire day, everyday.
@@stevendeamon if anyone is better than me, no matter how long they play, they are pro players to me. Who cares if they play all day...GOOD ON THEM.
@@stevendeamon Thanks
Steven Deamon most people don’t do it for the rewards but for the xp really
To reset the control points change difficulty tiers then change back then it resets
I just want the extended mags. There’s got to be a better way to get what’s we were able to in 5 mins in division 1....
"That LMB Patrol" lol Oh how i wish the LMBs are back i guess i can only dream... damn... you bought me hope by saying that gameydaddy good one bud! Anyways thanks for the contents you're providing to div2 community!
Lol. I mis-spoke. But yes, I like LMB
Open the map and press right on the d pad. Open world parameters and manually reset control points.
Inviting friends into your world and doing missions/activities together seems to get your Control Points kickstarted into resetting.
My control points do reset but not as often as they used to. Or should. I cleared 3 for the manhunt and 1 out of the 3 reset and then the next day another one did.
Dam! That looks tough...cant wait to try it.
So not sure why or how some are getting these drops so lucky cause im not at all
Great video mate, thanks....I'll click to subscribe!
Heroic world is great fun, love it, hate the crappy drops....
hey dude...what is better to have on ur backpack talent composer or unstoppable force...>?!
Which one works for your build? I haven't run both. My backpack is usually creeping death, because I'm a status effect player most of the time.
I think they said control points now only reset if you reset the map.
Also, I changed my NY open word to heroic yesterday. Played for about 2 hours. Loot is not much better. I didn't get one gear piece with a god rolled stat. No exotics either
2 hours
For me the difficullity is not much a problem. But the biggest problem is the loot. How the hell I finished 5 CP level 4 and still all of the boxes are low tier high end or purple ?
Will say, not sure if it's a glitch or just very rare but I did get a named NPC as a boss on an alert level 3 control point yesterday. Lieutenant Sawyer was his name, don't recall the exact control point location off of the top of my head
Did this.Lv4 controle point and then 2 rogue agents come play along.Sweating like a pig wtf.Good i have my rifle to keep distance.I also notice that exotics drop is more but the quality off the exotics is not so good.
since warlords dlc release day control points till today don't reset at all but don't tell the developers because they don't care to fix this
It’s easier to set the world to challenging, then you only have to do one activity to get the control point to Heroic
Lol at 6:24 He said LMB instead of black tusk😂😂
That’s why there was people cheating in the game all because if you’re solo and having to deal with all the spawning around a certain area while one is trying take over a control points. At least the creators should give exotics to solo players only that complete any heroic.
I actually had to research that control point thing today. I guess the fix to reset the difficulty level is not coming til the patch next week. Bummer
8 exotics this week in open world..... all have been low to mid roll Chameleons.
bishyaler that gun is garbage
I will wait until they get that fixed before I came up with anybody for anything unless I personally know them
If your world state is say challenging and you do a CP4 is it the same as if you do a CP4 with a heroic world state or is the latter harder?
My control points in New York haven't reset since the first week of the expansion. I tried bumping my world difficulty up to Heroic and they were all still green. FML.
IIFireMissionII it’s fixed
@@onlypink3797 All of my New York Control Points are still green.
If they just nerfed shield rushers and suicide bombers a little I have no problems with the rest.
First started doing heroic level half a week ago. first CP i got 5 teals with good rolls. since then. nothing worth while has dropped. all that hard work for junk cause apparently rng hating me on that game right now.
All is green so Widdz have range target practice to farm SHD....
Is there a difference between npc health and armor on normal and heroic when doing a lvl4 cp?
no. Once the enemies are Heroic, they have the health armor scaling.
@@DaGamerDad thnx bro for this quick reply
I reset both manhunt in seasons and have all those control points now.
Heroic is easy,at least for me that i play on pc it is...i can do every activity on the open world in heroic.
You can now reset control points by changing world difficulty
CP's not resetting will be fixed in next weeks update.
Why did they decide to give the control point officer a pistol???????? He's almost always going down in terrible spots. Give that fool an LMG..sheeesh. The encounters that can happen all at once is why I enjoy Heroic control points + map the most. A lot of things can happen in the blink of an eye.
My world is Heroic with 4 Directives n leaves the cool down, I choose it coz it gives me less 400K XP (Uplay: Brod.john-Noypi) love its it.
How do you switch your world to heroic on PC
Open the map and hold Z
@@DaGamerDad ohhhh I see, I don't have the option to change the world difficulty because I didn't buy warlords of New York. That's very sucky, oh well
My control points reset just I'm on ps4
What's the point in farming anything, since almost none of the backpack talents are working? This game has so many issues, it's too many to list. I'd wait til it gets fixed before wasting anymore time on it.
I just tried 2 backpack talents after reading your comment and they worked. Creeping death didn't respond at first, but then after a second status effect i put on NPC's, it worked.
@@DaGamerDad it's mainly in PvP that it's not working. Try Dark Zone/Conflict and you'll see.
Are the drops better in Heroic difficulty?
If so, i' haven't noticed
More so than other difficulties
Not seeing much difference with my m1a , just take 30% more time with good position and consistent checking behind me for other mobs appears
Even on heroic the loot stats sucks.
But wouldn't that screw up the other persons session if you just farm their CP's wouldn't be a nice thing to do? Don't know exactly how this Matchmaking works.
Once they've left whatever you do no longer saves to their profile
If you donate they watch and it wont reset.
Don't you sabotage for the one you matchmake with if you make that players cp's green? ;)
Nope.
@@DaGamerDad Ok, good to know. However I think they mentioned in last sotg that cp's should be fixed next week, changing global difficulty resets them.
The only ones that aren't resetting for me are the ones tied to the manhunt
Yes, or that were tied to the previous manhunt.
Trust me guys...i only run my world on heroic, the loot isnt great.
Hey hey just a reminder you need more subs. Thank you❤️
*deserve
@@HollowTipS pardon me.
@@kikikirikiw you're pardoned 😂
@@HollowTipS 😁
Why heroics melt you? simple its a damage increase for npcs?!
Did they fix all the bugs ?
Which ones specifically?
You have to reset the manhunt. @gameydaddy
Only way i got them to reset.
I can’t lvl up to 40 cuz I need to pay that’s bs
The most annoying thing of CP is that every y fucking time you are trying to do one an elite patrol spawns behind you!!!
You want better loot, fight lots of bullet sponges in open world. 👍
i am running my world on challenging, thats ok, but heroic im toast within seconds.
So the whole point of this video was just to say yeah heroic global difficulty is hard😂😂😂😂
