As a Milan fan I can say that I fully agree that Leao is one of the very few players that have that 'it factor' and can single handedly change games by producing individual moments of brilliance. His dribbling and 1v1 is second to none, he is fast, got a bag deep of tricks, agile, and physically very strong as well. I have seen fully grown world class fullbacks, and midfielders look like children as they try to and hang on to him. However he is lazy, doesn't press, or track back. He is complete offensively, yes. But defensively he leaves a lot to be desired. He has been criticized by Milan legends, team-mates and coaches for his lack of work ethic. Milan always have his deficiencies in mind as they build the team around him. Will Barca do the same? I have many doubts. Not to mention, he is inconsistent. I don't think Barca fans will be as forgiving as Milan fans, when he starts playing poorly all whilst not putting effort or looking at all interested.

I genuinely don't think Leao to Barca will happen, atleast not in this summer transfer window, Barca will probably go for Nico Williams (Which I do NOT want) and they'll do it because he just simply costs less. Other than that, if Leao was to move to Barca, maaan of course every one of us Barca fans would be on top of the world, even though I still think we need some fullbacks, potentially even ones that are good enough for the starting 11.
If we sign Leao I think we still need another winger to come in. I feel like Raphina would play as a 10 and we’d have Leao and Lamine on the wings, but then who plays for them when they’re tired? As an AC Milan fan and as a fan of football I can tell you that Leao can be the best player in the world even better than Vini jr. But leaving that to one side. I don’t know why Barcelona fans believe he is going to leave Milan. There is an instilled desire to win everything at AC Milan and the players know that. Leao knows that and I believe he wants to achieve all of that at AC Milan. I know this because of the past 4 years, he was on the bench for the last few games and came on at the right time and thinking this is because there is friction between the coach and Leao is pure fiction. I mean that, because even Theo is being benched and is coming on either late in the game or starting in the bigger matches. That isn’t evidence of there being any friction, I believe this is all Barcelona fans and barca media supporters trying to create the conditions for a move in the summer. But that isn’t the truth at Milan. Now leao has a big problem that is holding him back. He does not stay concentrated for a full 90 minute game and his finishing needs to get way better. He has gotten into his head that he is the best player and so he doesn’t have to do as much as the rest of the team. He becomes a liability at that point because Milan has a very attack minded left hand side with Leao and Theo. When teams are on it, they exploit that bit of space that is left when Leao is found walking or jogging when the opposition are countering. In comparison to Pulisic who has more goals and assists than Leao this season, he is both effective at offence and defence. In trying to be kind, I believe he might be doing this in order to conserve his energy for the season because he can get injured given they way he plays. So he goes full tilt for 45 minutes then picks his moments without being defensive in the second half of a match. In that case no one is going to solve that problem at this point. But I stand by it he will be as good as Henry

If we sign Leao I think we still need another winger to come in. I feel like Raphina would play as a 10 and we’d have Leao and Lamine on the wings, but then who plays for them when they’re tired? We saw what happened last game when we thought Raphina would play RW but he didn’t and the rest is history. We need at least one more low profile winger that can play both flanks or at least RW.

As an AC Milan fan and as a fan of football I can tell you that Leao can be the best player in the world even better than Vini jr. But leaving that to one side. I don’t know why Barcelona fans believe he is going to leave Milan. There is an instilled desire to win everything at AC Milan and the players know that. Leao knows that and I believe he wants to achieve all of that at AC Milan. I know this because of the past 4 years, he was on the bench for the last few games and came on at the right time and thinking this is because there is friction between the coach and Leao is pure fiction. I mean that, because even Theo is being benched and is coming on either late in the game or starting in the bigger matches. That isn’t evidence of there being any friction, I believe this is all Barcelona fans and barca media supporters trying to create the conditions for a move in the summer. But that isn’t the truth at Milan.
Now leao has a big problem that is holding him back. He does not stay concentrated for a full 90 minute game and his finishing needs to get way better. He has gotten into his head that he is the best player and so he doesn’t have to do as much as the rest of the team. He becomes a liability at that point because Milan has a very attack minded left hand side with Leao and Theo. When teams are on it, they exploit that bit of space that is left when Leao is found walking or jogging when the opposition are countering. In comparison to Pulisic who has more goals and assists than Leao this season, he is both effective at offence and defence. Leao’s finishing needs to get way better, he doesn’t necessarily miss a lot of chances, but Milan want to win everything and in order for that to happen he cannot let a game go without him putting every shot he takes on goal.
In the very extreme situation of Barca putting an insane offer on the table then I could see Milan negotiate and in that case I hope they get a young talent from Barca. In my opinion I would take Rafinha. But this is all hypothetical in an extreme way because there is barely any news of there being creditable sources of a friction or a desire to go to Barcelona
Now how good can leao be, in my opinion he can be as good as Henry. I watch leao run at full tilt and still have the ball when he dribbles. He can literally carry the ball from his half to the opposition half at full speed, dribble and shoot at any angle. He can drift and be as effective on the right if the game evolves into that. But the man either thinks he shouldn’t be going full beast mode for an entire 90 min. In trying to be kind, I believe he might be doing this in order to conserve his energy for the season because he can get injured given they way he plays. So he goes full tilt for 45 minutes then picks his moments without being defensive in the second half of a match. In that case no one is going to solve that problem at this point. But I stand by it he will be as good as Henry
Idk much about him except the many complaints I’ve heard about his work ethics off the ball. We play with a high line that requires each player to run nonstop for 90 minutes and if one of them stop pressing, we could get hurt badly. That’s the only concern I would have, but at the same time I trust Flick would what Flicks does which is elevate individual players. Rafael on the ball… unplayable.

LOVE Rafa Leao and LOVE Barca. Raphinha and Olmo playing the same role coupled with Fermin and Pablo Torre also playing the 10 is just too much depth and wasted resources. Also Leao won't be cheap and Barca need to think about a transition play for Lewa in the next 24 months. Would Barca be amazing and increase likelihood of titles with Rafa - yes! But, the club needs to prioritize their finances and I don't see how Barca can afford him and a top-shelf striker all in 24 months given their debt. Honestly, I'm not sure about Leão, mainly because he's going to cost so much. Instead, if we invested in a rotation option for Yamal, like Zhegrova, for 30-40 million, it might help us keep our current system intact while ensuring Yamal isn't overplayed. Besides, I'm concerned that Leão is similar to Vini and Mbappé in the sense that he isn't great at pressing and running; he's more of an on-the-ball player.
