Thanks for these suggestions! It was interesting to see where you find inspiration. Two of those I'd never heard of before, so awesome! I also tend to be drawn to classic pieces, sort of androgynous. I spent my 20s and 30s being sort of a goofy hipster postpunk wreck of a dresser, but I've found that style no longer works for me or appeals to me. I'm still working it out. It's not easy as I age and change styles at the same time. I still get pretty wacky ideas for stuff to make, but I know that classic and simple will work better for me. It's a process. I sometimes lack the faith that I can recreate what I like, but I'm improving.
As an aside, speaking of inspiration: I find both of your textual tattoos very inspiring. The Leonard Cohen quotation has always been a favorite. I am considering getting my first tattoo, after waffling for decades and being surrounded by people with cool tattoos. These might help point me in the right direction. The other reason I have found your channel inspiring is that you are so prolific and constant in your creation. It really gives me hope I can get into that state myself. I look forward to seeing where you go with it!
Thank you so much : ) I loved reading about your experience! How exciting to consider your first tattoo as well! It's been awhile since I've gotten one and I always have new ideas. Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts!
You might like the Pansy Dress Pattern from Rosery Apparel. It’s an oversized dress that can be slipped over your head. She has a channel that is just full of inspiration.
