The voice actress is amazing. She really did well in changing her tone to match a more realistic take on luffy.
Mayumi Tanaka is a freakin' goddess. I love how she imprinted a deeper voice on Luffy to match Iñaki, yet still is so undeniably her at the same time.
I noticed that, too. I think it fits quite well
To be fair, Mayumi Tanaka is a professional VA doing that is part of her job

Love that they put the actual Japanese voice actor as Luffy really fits in
even though it was quite dissapointing to at least try a japanese male voice actor to interpret his own luffy, i think that at the end of the day, it works well with the familiarity of the original seiyuu
@@scoutart1508nah lots of people will riot if that happened. mayumi’s voice is super iconic and people won’t like it if they change the seiyuus in the japanese dub

The live actors did an amazing job for the live action and each really felt alive to me in their own ways (especially sanji, they absolutely killed it), but I can’t deny that after 20+ years, the original Japanese VAs are pretty much the heart and soul of making the crew come alive, and even add a special flavour to the dubbing. Ultimately, I’m glad both versions are valid in their own ways and am really excited to see more!
Did an amazing job? Doing what false events that never happened was nami here in anime or Manga

This isn’t the original VA for Arlong, the original is Jurota Kosugi. The live action Japanese dub is Hiroki Higashiji

@@LetsuGaukiMy guess is scheduling conflict. Also Kosugi-san's voice probably has aged up and no longer sounded like when he voiced anime Arlong around 20 years ago.
Damn... I'm gonna rewatch it again with Japanese audio. The attacks sounds way better in Japanese! And probably the signature laughs too.
I didn't know they had a Japanese dub that just like the anime, maybe its actually the anime dub team real voice actor doing the netflix series too. How did we miss this Easter egg.
my god the sanji va in his fight with kuroobi sounds so much more natural and full of energy. Its just when the original actor did it his voice sounds very light but sanjis is pretty deep

It's still good but I wish Arlong could've bitten Luffy once before getting hit by the Battle Axe like in the original, he wanted to bite Luffy since Baratie but never did
There were supposed to be 10 episodes but Netflix bumped them down to 8
@@JDog2656 I think if we got 10 we would of gotten an extra arlong episode to space things out and then maybe a lougetown episode

I think its pretty amusing that after decades of having english VA's working hard to match the original voice cast's performances. Now we have the original cast having to do that very task for the live action actors versions of the characters they made famous. I know its nothing new to the original cast dubbing western stuff, but still we have come full circle!
2:15 just imagine what this will look like when we get to see against Crocodile, since it's the same scene of the rubble of rock and stone collapsing
We'll also see Inaki doing Gum Gum Storm.

@@pumascda19 quizas la habilitaron despues, en su semana de estrenon intente mirala con Dub Japones y no tenia esa opcion. Casi no uso Netflix asi que en cuanto termino una serie no vuelvo a usar el servicio hasta que anuncia algo nuevo que me interese. Voy a darle una revisada hoy despues de mi trabajo.

I think its pg13, even marvel dont have much blood in their fight. But i agree compare to the manga, the fight is more brutal

This was a great show it had its faults but I really enjoyed l, it was funny and entertaining and they Sticked to the source material
Personally, for every one thing they did wrong with this adaptation, they got three other things right
