  • Hello and welcome to Part 1 of how to install gates between brick walls.
    In this series I go into much detail on how to install a pair of gates between 2 brick walls. The video will be spread over 2 or 3 parts.
    This part covers the setup of what we are doing, The tools you will need, Fixing the posts to the wall and how to concrete in a post correctly.
    I will list every tool required in the description box at the end of the last video in the series.
    If you would like any questions answered at all please ask in the comment section below and i would be happy to answer them.
    I hope this will give you the confidence to do this yourself at home.

    Thise Keter work benches are fantastic. I've got one and wouldn't be without it.

      Yeah they are great. Can hold 500kg too so i believe.

    Building a gate about waist height but around 6ft long. What's the benefit, if any, to bolting wooden post to the brick pillar (is very study), as opposed to just attacking the gate straight to the brick pillar.

    Hi James. Can I check - did you use M8 or M10 thunderbolts for this job please?

      M8 bolts mate but M10 will do just as good if not better.

      That sounds like good advice. Would you recommend using M8’s for putting a 3” x 2” on a wall? I’m just wondering if you think M10’s would be a bit overkill. Thanks 🙂.
