      Kam...with his size, strength, athletic ability, intimidating play & look ( he'd be considered hercules/ purist football specimen ever seen at the time-..lets say " time machine scenario "...if he had played back in the day..from the start of the league.. through the 70's,( before the Mel Blount rule- think about it..WRs would have been lit up!).. 80's..90's....he would be #1 & the most feared defender... period.

      Yeah Kam Bam for sure all day. That hit on Vernon Davis is one of the greatest hits ever in the history of the game. He was the Ray Lewis of Safeties. Man I miss Kam Chancellor!!!!

    You missed Kam Chancellor's most incredible hit, when he took on a 310lb offensive lineman head to head and flattened him.

    • @namsports
      @namsports  Год назад

      I didn't missed Kam's hit on Eric Winston and by the way Winston was a 302lb at the time! for me the hit on Megatron, Demaryius Thomas and Vernon Davis are the most incredible, but thanks anyway for stoppin' by!

    • @Jason-lk9yi
      @Jason-lk9yi Год назад

      @@namsports You actually did miss it, and it was much more impressive than the hits on WR's and TE's you mentioned. The WR and TE's didn't see Kam coming, the '302lb' offensive lineman did, and challenged Kam, and got rocked. You've been schooled.

Yall left Donnie Shell, George Atkinson, Gary Fencik, Doug Plank, Ken Easley, and a bunch of others, that preceded the more recent and popular ones like Reed, Polamalu, Chancellor even Taylor (Rest in peace to him) love them all, but you gotta dig deeper. if you're gonna claim these are the Hardest hitting safeties in NFL history.

  • @FatherFirst
    @FatherFirst Год назад +3

    Kam Chancellor is #1, for sure. He has to be the most feared Safety in the history of the game. He punished player's unlike anyone else I've ever watched at the position. Lott was great, but he didn't scare people the same way Kam Bam did. Kam Bam was like a faster version of Ray Lewis just at the Safety position. I miss those good ol days of watching Chancellor patrolling the field hunting big hits. He's an absolute legemd and will definitely be a Ring Of Honor recipient. I hope he gets a gold jacket but he retired early so I don't know if he'll get one unfortunately. Kenny Easley was a stud from back in the day. It was awesome to see him on net. Surprised ET wasnt mentioned because he laid the lumber as well and he was a smaller safety. Man I love my team!!!! How fast time flies by!!! Go Hawks!!!!!

    I thought you were going to leave out Kenny Easily. Like Atwater and Lott, he came down hill and blew up RBs at the line of scrimmage. HIs most impressive hits were at that point of contact. He was like a LB playing safety, but had the speed and agility to return punts back for TDs.

    That Ronnie Lott (42) hit on TE Mark Bavaro (89) was a MNF game in 1990 between the top two teams in the league that year. As soon as it happened, you knew that it was a major collision and you prayed everyone would get up in one piece. To Bavaro’s credit, he got up and walked off. The Giants were tough that year and went on to take down SF in a great NFC Championship game and won the Super Bowl by inches.
