Classic use of “that’s what she said”. Well done.
That made me chuckle..
Awesome video! I was going to replace the entire hardware. This will save me time and money....thanks!
Thank you for sharing this! I just ordered these and will refer back to the video you made!

This is awesome. Step by step, quick pointers from what you learned, that's what she said joke and its short. Nice work, thanks for this.

For the piece attached to the drawer, install both screws through the oval holes so you don't need to find the perfect spot to drill and it's possible to make adjustments later.
Thanks for the info for the community.
I'm in the building trades and I get so tired of seeing videos that really aren't very explanatory. Yours was. Thank you!

Thanks for a very easy explanation of an easy transformation. Went on vaca with SCDrawers in the kitchen. I’m smitten!

Sweet!! Thank you!
Thank you!!!!
Thanks, I found it!
5:32 so actually the best way to do this is to screw in the right side screw (with the vertical opening) and then you can slide it up and down until you like where it's at and do the final screw to hold it in place
Thanks for the information for the community!

That was super easy! I've been wanting this but have been afraid of it being too costly or too difficult. Thanks for sharing!!

Very cool info! At 5:00 I wonder if temporarily using some blue tape might make it easier to position the smaller piece on the drawer.
Give it a try and let us know!
Nice

Great video. Question: I have drawers that have the same white runners that you have but they're at the top, do you know if these will still work? Maybe if I do the same installation but upside down? Thanks again.
You know, I and not sure. I have never seen runners on the top, personally. You can give it a go and respond with your result, so the community here can know if it does work. You can always return if you buy through Amazon. amzn.to/3sexcXA
Is there a soft close like this for single center rail on bottom of draw? like
You could look here to see if you can find what you are looking for: www.amazon.com/s?k=soft+close+for+bottom+of+drawer&tag=diybry-20&ref=nb_sb_noss
Awesome! Anything similar for cabinets?
I am actually getting the hardware for soft close cabinets so I can record another video about that topic. Going to compare two different styles. Subscribe so you can be notified when I post that video. (Sometime in the next week or two)
Do you have any recommendation for soft close cabinet doors retrofit?
Thanks!
Was going to make video, but the ones I tried did not work well so I did not want to share my findings until I found some that would work.
Loved the video. Is there a link or name of soft sliders you used? You mentioned Amazon, but need the name of the sliders. Thanks!
Check the video description for product links. Thanks for watching.
Question!!! Do you have to do both sides of the drawer for it to work??
No. But if your drawer is really wide it wouldn’t be a bad idea to do both sides.
My drawers half approximately 1/2” gap behind the existing closer. I need to mount the soft close rail flush with the existing closer correct
Were you able to get this figured out?
I really liked the video . I am pretty sure there is a place in comments where I can see which door closers you ordered from Amazon. kind of a pain to go through the video to find this info .
All links are in the video description. Thanks for watching!
My drawers do no have an “inner wall” to attach the mechanism to. The rail is attached to a bracket at the back of the cabinet and to the cabinet face. Is there a way to use this in that setup?
Without seeing the drawer, it’s hard to say. Let us know if you figure it out.
This is great, but I rent and don’t want to drill anything. Is there perhaps just a clip on kind that you can pop into the actual drawer slide?
They made soft close drawer slide hardware. It is more expensive.
@@DIYBRYThanks. Was really hoping it would as simple as just clipping in a piece to the preexisting hardware. There is nothing wrong with the slides, in fact they’re quite nice and adjustable. I also don’t want to go around messing with removing them as it’s not my house. But the slamming is just so annoying. The cabinet doors are soft close thankfully.
Maybe you could get away with using some strong double-sided tape instead of the screws?
This is perfect to close the gap. Thats what she said
Nice!
Do you have the link to the hardware on Amazon?
In the video description, yes.
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HKP8C8F/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=diybry-20&camp=1789&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B07HKP8C8F&linkId=b26543943f8f9cb57d1ba16bc6f3e70a
Will these work for undermount slides?
I have never tried. As long as there is room and it can catch/release, it should. You got get some from the Amazon link in the description and if it does not work, you can return. If it does work, reply with the results so the community here will know! 😉
That's what she said cracked me up 🤣 If the second piece you install (On the drawer) is fitted above the first piece, then what is actually catching to make it soft close?
There is a hook piece and it is spring loaded. As you pull the drawer out, the hook piece sets the spring. When you close, the hook catches the piece again, and the spring will pull the drawer in softly. Soft and slow 🤣
Can these be used on frameless drawers?
I don’t see why not.
@5:18 “…. That’s what she said….” 😂😂😂😂
Do you have the link for these?
Links are all in the video description. Here it is again: amzn.to/3HD3TY5
Do you need one of these on each side of the drawer? Or just one per drawer?
One is fine. Unless it is a really tall and/or wide, then you may want to do two (one on each side).
@@DIYBRY Thank you so much! And one more question?
If my hinges are high, preventing space to screw in the gadget, any ideas?
@@davidkerner5797 Hinges? Perhaps you could send a pic to thediybry@gmail.com so I can see your setup?
Two years after you posted this (excellent) video, are you still happy with this product, they are all still working?
Yes. Only issue I have is with the tiny drawer that is like 6 inches wide. It’s get stuck sometimes. But everything else has been great.
so you don't had the hardware to both sides of the drawer?
You certainly can have the soft close hardware on each side, but that would be twice as expensive. Unless the drawer is really wide, it’s not necessary to have hardware on both sides.
@@DIYBRY thank you

Thanks for the video. This is my first time seeing this hardware option, and I had assumed to this point that I would have to entirely change out my drawer slides to get the soft close feature. I was looking for a link to the hardware, as I am not sure I am seeing the same product on Amazon. Are you permitted to share a link to the product?

😄 That's what she said.
I ment to say I have anothing to attach the slider to on the inside of the drawer
Does the drawer have slide rails? Or just wood on wood?
I see what you did there lol 😆

How about if my drawer runners are on bottom of my drawers???
Not sure. I have never tried it. Could grab you a set and try it out. Amazon has a great return policy.
