For solid lines i would probably go with the fold pro. The fold 2 is also good. The mars-u is very nice but i struggled a little bit with needles bigger than a 11rl
i need help picking a machine as a beginner. i’ve done research on the ambition soldier, ambition mars u, dragonhawk x3, dragonhawk mast flip, and i keep seeing mixed reviews. i don’t know if i should get a pen with an adjustable stroke since 4.0 and higher is usually harsher on the skin. help!
Choosing a machine as a beginner is tough. A lot of different things will come into play. Like your style of tattooing, the needle sizes you are using and ofcourse your hand as well. Looking at the choices you have i would personally either go for the ambition soldier ambition mars or dragonhawk fold pro (or fold 3) i have reviews on all of these machines on my channel. Keep in mind that if you go for a stroke adjustable machine, dont change the stroke if you feel like you are missing power or your lines aren’t the way you want them to be. Always adjust your technique or handspeed first. (Always blame yourself before you blame the machine) if that makes sense. I hope this helped a bit. If you have any mire questions let me know
I think because the mars u was one of the first it has some small issues. The fold pro is around the same size, maybe a little bit lighter. The vipera is a lot heavier and also a lot stronger. The vibration is about the same. I would probabky go for the fold pro with an extra battery most likely. But i also have a nice machine in my new video… i am hoping on uploading it later today so keep your eyes peeled 👀
The bestia and the vipera are the same. They are both heavy. But why buy a new machine? Just get used to the weight and you will be fine. But yeah… if you want to buy a light machine go with the fold pro. Check out the link on the fold review on my page. You will save some money when you buy it through there
@Tattoobart147 the vipera is 23g less than bestia, and the grip of the bestia is terrible for my, after 2 hours, I tested the bestia, i had some pain on my hands, the perfect weight for my i think is 245g... i get the vipera tomorrow. If i don't like the weight, i will come back and buy from you links
thanks again man ! very appreciated ~ i got my bishop wand shader back from them 2 weeks ago,, took about 6 weeks for the repair and ill be honest, i wish the cams fiinally didnt wear out on my ambition soldier because i totally cant stand the bishop and having to rely on it. i use it as a back up ONLY now. ive been on pens long enough now to understand em , used enough now to see that Ambition is a far superior company with parts readily available for replacement at any time. customer service was excellent and fast and my cams are on their way in for 14 bucks!! thanks again for the review, the mars is my next purchase from Ambition , stoked to try it out. curious though if they will have replacement cams available as i havent seen one apart yet to the motor and the funky gearing thats going on has me curious.
I havent either. But my guess is that is doesnt have a cam. But a wheel with notches that changes the angle as you chance the stroke lenght. But inam to scared to open it up since the machine works so nice! I dont want to ruin it🙈i am glad i could help you out. And thanks for supporting my channel🙏🙌
Funny tobhear u say this when bishop uses abec 6 bearings on their cams and are known for having reliable service a week tops and ambition uses inferior cams ....
@@ivanmendoza8457 i get it , i know they are great for most but in my experience , it was very costly. the machine now has over 1300 canadian wrapped up in it from the extra shipping costs , duty , etc and now sits unused because i see it as unreliable. i was very excited about this machine because i do have other great rotary machines from bishop that just wont quit, but this one just fell extremely short
How long have you had them? Wondering how reliable the motors are. I have the torped mini 28mm and was thinking about getting the mars-u, soldier, or maybe just a 32mm torped.
@@flatasacueball6326 I’ve had my 32mm torped almost 8 months now and my Lutin about 5. I saw a RUclips video where someone did an update on the torped a year later and theirs is still going strong and at 8 months so is mine.
They are great machines. Pretty much all of them. They are all still kicking it till today. I would maybe recommend to get a direct drive system because it seems to be a bit more sustainable and easier to fix if something breaks.
@@Tiggim0n i think the mars u will be more versitile. The soldier might be to powerfull for 1 or 3 rl work. And i think the mars is more comfortable because of the balance on the machine.

Well i bought it on the official website, i just checked the website and i dont see a mars-u that has a 2.2 to 4.2 stroke. Aren’t you confused with the dragonhawk fold? Because i think that one has a 2.2 to 4.2 stroke…
What is the diameter dimension of the machine? 0,35mm?
The diameter is 32mm length is 138mm
Mars U or Mast Fold 3? I have both in my Amazon cart.
Mast fold 3 in mu oppinion
great review sir 😎 please which is better or recommend for solid lines btwn the mars-u and the fold 2 🙏🏾

How do u change needle depth on it
By twisting the grip like any other cartridge machine.
Mine goes up to a 4.2 mm stroke why the difference also when I used it didn’t feel like it was the most powerful
I think they made some changes after a while actually, but yeah i feel its not the strongest stroke adjustable

Why does my machine have 4.2 stroke?
There are different version. The newer version has a 4.2 stroke. Mine was one of the first mars-u. That why it still has the 4.0
What about disposable grips?
They might sell them on the website, ive never really looked into using disposable grips on my pens.
Wish pen machine is better ambitions mars-u or mast archer?
I think the mars-u will give you more options than the mast archer. So i would pick the mars-u all day
Thank u very much
No problem
