Hi everyone and welcome to another Bimmer Fixer video.
In this video I will show you how to install a USB charging port in the armrest compartment in your BMW 5 Series e60 and e61. It's a great little mod to do and means you no longer have to use one of those bulky USB cigarette lighter adapters.

you could turn one of your cigarette lighters into usb it's better than damaging most places
@Ramazan Kocak Yeah absolutely and it would be easier to do as well but I wanted it all hidden and charging things in the armrest compartment.
Can you replace the sigaretlighter socket with the usb socket?
@KUKO 90 Yeah you can. It sometimes can be a little fiddly but its doable.
What Bluetooth reciever is it youve got installed in behind the cover?
@jeppedahlrrdam I cant remember the exact name but I have a video where I show you how to fit it and the link for the Bluetooth receiver is linked it that video description 👍🏻
Why did you not just solder the wires directly on to the USB charging port? And then bend them 90 deg to each side avoiding to cut any parts of the vent duct?
@jrn6471 Great point! I suppose there's a few ways it can ben done, I just went with the one in the video.

@@TheBimmerFixer boas amigo tenho uma bmw e61 530d de 2007 Arranquei a caixa do telefone da consola central e agora não mete mudanças nem da som o que sera
@Gil Cortes Olá meu amigo. O problema parece que há um fio quebrado ou uma disputa em algum lugar. O bluetooth do telefone está funcionando para chamadas telefônicas?
@@TheBimmerFixer não tentei o Bluetooth mas quando foi para destravar a caixa automática para ir no reboque vi que estava um fio da caixa cortado será daí ou eu ao puxar disliguei algum ou ficha do seletor da caixa
@Gil Cortes eu vejo ok. esse fio provavelmente será das pequenas luzes no seletor de marchas. eles acendem as letras P,R,N,D na parte inferior do seletor. Não deve afetar nada e você deve estar bem.

@Mikel Yucetag nur wenn die zündung an ist. Es gibt keine Batterieentladung, Sie bekommen dadurch keine leere Batterie.
Warum zerschneidest du den Lüftungsschacht🙈🙈🙈🙈 Der arme BMW.... Dann muss der USB Anschluss halt wo anderst hin...
@Mikel Yücetag Ich weiß, was du meinst, ich wollte es nicht schneiden, aber ich wollte es wirklich unter der Armlehne verstecken 🙈😂
