i really dont get how people are so into comparing kondakova to kanaeva. they're both amazing gymnasts but with different styles. kanaeva is more classical and conservative while kondakova is more modern and likes to use more thematic and cultural music. if you compare technique, they're both quite similar and honestly, why cant people love them both?

I believe it’s just called a ring turn/pivot/pirouette (bent leg). Some call it the scorpion turn.

I like Kondakova. In many aspects I prefer her to Kanaeva, but Kondakova's feet are not great. Her releve is not pretty and the feet are not. As a ballet dancer I always watch the feet (arch, releve hight, etc.) , this is what we do and hers... no, not pretty. People, just watch her routine again and watch let's say Maximenko and Kanaeva and you will see

Daria Kondakova is the most expressive gymnast, and i think that that matter more than a good exercise.By the way she was the best.Do you know what mean 0.050 points?...Daria Kondakova won the gold in my heart.
and also one of the worst, just look her horrible execution of the body elements specially the pivots
@@patem7379 kanaevas pivots were not the bests too, even if I like her. Daria's pivots are more controled

I really don't understand why she doesn't beat Kaneva. I always enjoy Kondakova's routines more!!!

@OWalexutza97 i watched it, and kanaeva had mistakes too i saw them, but she didn't fall "SO HARD" from pivot. sorry for dasha but it was too LOUD mistake.

I agree with Butonboy. When you watch these videos- don't watch Kondakova, then Kaneava. Watch Kondakova then watch Miteva. Miteva is much more graceful, precise and elegant. Kondakova is more explosive and full of theatrics and tricks but not graceful, Kondakova is an entertainer. Its like the difference between street dancing and ballet. I would choose Miteve--despite the point system
IMO a green or blue or even yellow ribbon will be better, but I prefer this one to the rainbow one.. >.
@buntonboy Godunko was hopping practically at each element which is penalized. I'm not going to discuss overscored or underscored stuff, I don't know their cards with set of elements they perform. You are definetely subjective in your judging so it doesn't make sence. are you judge? i mean, i wouldn't acceprt any talk about scores only if doesn't come from qualified judge of RG.
@nechta86 watch better at Zhenya and you will se the same mistake in AA group.

@nechta86 did you think that 50 judges didn`t saw a knot?i watched her routine milion times(AA group) and i didn`t saw a knot.Look better.
@buntonboy she wasn't better than Zhenya but please be realistic: her technical skills above the rest of girls. And viner money has nothing to do with that, where does everyine get this ridiculous though from? Kondakova is lack in precision because of the pace of her routines - they are too fast sometimes. ukranian maximenko needs to do something with her clubs cuz it's boring; the same wave movements during all routines and her ball as well.

@OWalexutza97 she had horrible mistake with the ball, she fell down from pivot, and it was just too obvious. Even though Kanaeva wasn't perfect either she didn't have obvious mistakes like dasha had. Daria had all chances to win Zhenya but lost it again.
