I greatly appreciate this! Back when the game was newer, it was actually jinda hard to find good quality rips, especially of Mean Street and Ostown, and specifically of the Light/Paint themes. You're doing Yisnad's work, presrving some long forgotten music like this! Here's hoping the remake includes the missing pieces in the official OST.
Dang the battle theme is a banger - maintains the usual main street theme - makes it more intense - very fast - it even adds new components epik battle theme
@@zorrolimonero it changes depending on how you've been playing the game entirely. If you use Paint more, it's a bit more upbeat. If you use thinner more, it's much more.. sinister
I like how the Neutral paint and Neutral thinner tracks of mean street can be combined to the paint theme for the Neutral paint theme and vice versa to make a extended version of those tracks.
The first third of the neutral theme fits with the dark and desolation of wasteland in general, but the second third shows the glimmer of hope the citizens have. The third third feels like it's demonstrating the general conflict of emotions the citizens have with their current situation The paint 1 feels as if the first third is slightly less desolate, and feels more mysterious. The second third feels very triumphant, as if the citizens are celebrating all the good mickey has brought. and the third third feels a sense of somber, reminiscing on all of their past choices Paint 2s first third goes even harder into the mysterious part, almost as if they aren't sure what mickey will do next, but they hope it's good. The second third feels very happy-go-lucky, like it has not a care in the world. The third third shows all the hopefulness they have for the future. The first third of thinner 1 feels even more desolate, with the bells chiming signaling the impeding doom. The second third still shows a sense of hope, but as of something isn't right. The third third shows the conflict of emotions growing stronger, the citizens want to feel hopeful, but it's very hard to do so In a situation like this. Thinner 2s first third feels even more desolate, almost as if everybody is gone. The second third loses all sense of hope, and is just a reminder of what used to be. The third third feels sadness, and depression. Everything they had to hope for is gone, and there is nothing they can do. The first third of the Main Street battle theme shows the desperation of the situation. The second third feels like the threat approaching to attack you. And the third third feels like the chaos of the ongoing battle leaking into the song.
Here here. Really hoping for a rebrushed of the second game too, and before you judge me, the voice acting bro. The Mad Doctor’s songs never left my head since childhood and there are some sick boss battles lol.
@@MrMelonszMe personally, I hope this remaster means we'll get Epic Mickey 2 remastered as well, and maybe, just maybe, that Epic Mickey 3 that we've waited a decade and a half for.
I always found the Paint 2 theme to be a bit... lacking, ngl. Like, it's got the light brass, bells and whistles... but just that. It's almost like it's trying too hard to hide things away from us. But y'know, maybe that was the whole point.

I never noticed that the music could change until I started a thinner run
So the music can change depending if mean street is in good or bad conditions? I don't get it

It's meant to be the full-on paint theme, so of course it would be softer. And personally: I like the calm feel to it.
