Y'know, most cartoon finales are alright, but this has to be my favourite. They blew everyone's expectations away with Weirdmageddon, and it's always a blast to rewatch. Also, that remix of the Gravity Falls theme still gives me goosebumps every time i hear it.
What really sells it is how everything the characters have learned and experienced, the fights, the strange mysteries and creatures, the self-discovery, the growth, all of it is combined and merged together in one finished product to show new, experienced people. Weirdmageddon wasn't an overwhelming experienced that they barely survived, it was the ultimate test that pushed them to their limits and to use everything at their disposal. From magic, to wacky inventions, to even teaming up with past enemies. Both weird and normal, friend and foe gathered together as the most kick ass fighting force Gravity Falls had to offer and turns out it had a lot more to give than first met the eye. It's a masterfully written story that had years of thought and crafting put into it before it was even approved.
So since Weirdmaggedon was written in the style of a movie, can we all agree this is the best part of the movie? Like, Civil War airport fight kinda level?
I love that Bills ignorance completely blocks out the thought of losing. Instead of him being scared of them, he goes straight to "I just fixed that door" instead of worrying. It really shows his character, which I absolutely love. He's in my top 5 for a reason.
I have to say that I really like how Rumble McSkirmish actually fights alongside Dipper and the others despite the fact that Bill is the one that allowed him to be in the real world at all. Essentially, winning this fight and taking out Bill will result in Rumble's, for lack of a better term, death yet he chooses to fight against the demon regardless. He has every reason to fight against Dipper (especially after the whole Fight Fighters incident) yet chooses to be his ally instead. It's really noble and it makes me like him a lot more (which is strange as I usually dislike the humility lesson plot intensely yet it was done rather well with him).

I loved that the main theme was remixed for this fight! I'll miss this show, but I think that this was the best series finale for an animated series.
Shame that the only good show left on Disney now is Star vs. the forces of evil.

I've seen a few episodes of Wander over Yonder, and I will agree that it isn't a bad show. It reminds me of Fosters home for Imaginary Friends in terms of the art style and I think that the guy who made that show made Wander as well. I don't really watch Disney that much anymore. I wish that they would get rid of Pickle and Peanut though.

Or to never be allowed to create an animated series ever again. Wasn't that person the same guy who made Fish Hooks and Almost Naked Animals? Pickle and Peanut just seems to be really lazy if they rely on stock photos for animation.
The rock version of the theme song playing in the background just made this scene perfect.
