Adam, really love the way you demonstrated the process of flexing like an accordion, and how that balances your feet. That really clicked in my head, and gave me a better understanding of how to preset your weight into to the instep of the trail leg. Now Time to go practice this!
Thanks for watching Brandon! So many people struggle with keeping ground pressure when they get over the golf ball. This type of flex can really help them re-engage itheir lower body in their set up and create tremendous gains in their swings! We will be looking down the range for that great set up!
Hi Matt! This is a very common issue and something we see often. The set up is the first domino in the line of domino’s that is the golf swing. Without a good set up in place it becomes very difficult to make the swing with the least amount of manipulation. Getting over the golf ball and creating space to play underneath you will really engage a lot of the bigger muscles in your body like the glutes, quads, hamstrings, obliques, abs, etc. which all help create a powerful, efficient, repeatable swing!
Question Sir --- so I have been working a lot on trying to keep my head in front of the ball from wedges to 3 wood. So I just noticed that you said to keep your head just behind the ball with longer irons. Is that from the 5 iron on up?
Is it common for golfers new to Porzak (and his posture/setup) to need their lie angles flattened a bit? When I'm more over the ball and don't have my hands so high at address (as he prescribes), I can see the toe of my clubs pointing up a bit more and begging me to be flattened lol :)
Usually there is ulnar deviation that creates a counter balance to that at impact. I've never seen Adam mention that to his students. Ball flight would be a good place to check, if you're hitting too much of a draw or hook. Then that would be a good place to check! - Gabe

Hip over ankle is great checkpoint….my irons hit was great. Thank you
Love this video, as sitting back at address is my bad habit and all the problems you mention show up in my game from time to time.

She fires her hips so well
Thanks Nephesh!
This should shut a lot of people up , that’s a beautiful swing regardless
O 100%, I wasn't expecting that at all, she's flexible as he'll, huge shoulder turn, good tempo...her swing looks great

Are your clubs set to standard?
@@PorzakGolf yes. Standard lie angles.

@@PorzakGolf That's a good point about impact being a little higher.
