He was texting and driving.
Not paying attention.
They don’t use GPS tracking software w/satellite access. That poor woman trapped inside that car. God bless her and prayers for her family.
Just when I thought leaving the woman on the train tracks couldn’t be bested. No mention of this poor woman either. Makes me sick.
Everyone is sad about the cop! What about the poor lady! Law suit! And how did the vehicle sink so fast?
EXACTLY 💯
We have thousands of boat ramps in Minnesota, I’ve never seen one where the highway directly goes to the water.
It's really crazy how many we have here in Tennessee. They are where there used to be ferry ramps.
It’s not the highway!!! It’s a little road with a million boat ramp signs and reflectors, the ones that go “thimp thump”all the wY across the road at multiple points to it. It would be absolutely impossible to NOT know he was comin up on something.
Wouldn't the officer have called in her name or something before arresting her? Don't they usually run a check regardless? Maybe I'm wrong.
someone on another video left a message claiming she wouldn't give up her ID. So chances are it was another illegal arrest buy another incompetent cop who thought he was above the law and was ok to be texting and driving at a high rate of speed. As you know cops are legally allowed to do illegal things..' rules for for thee but not for me' is their slogan.
Family is notified before the public are.
She is probably just another r@pe victim erased by the blue line mafia member@@swmplvr
Correct ✅
Considering she was in his custody, handcuffed and UNCONVICTED, locked in the back of his patrol car when his NEGLIGENCE got them both killed, I'd consider that murder on his part. Label him a murderer and blast his picture all over social media, that's what the police would do to any single one of us. Is there some sort of double standard going on here? Oh wait....😂🖕👎
Tabitha Smith 35 yr old mother of Two . R.I.P 🕯️
No sympathy for that idiot sheriff's deputy, he killed a wife and mother. 😢
What about the women in the back seat ?
This is really messed up, so sad, prayers up
Not only do they not have any condolences for the person that they murdered in the back of the car they now are trying to blame her for maybe distracting the cop
AND THAT'S HOW IT WILL PLAY OUT .... HER FAULT!
Prayer's to the FAMILY 🙏🙏
"the"? Which family are you giving prayers to and which are you showing disdain for with that "the" family instead of both families
This is murder, the family should sue the crap out of the department
Distracted driving!!! Texting and driving is a serious crime in Tennessee especially if it takes a life !!! Y’all keep calling this an accident. This is not an accident. This is negligence, texting and driving. Don’t care where he just moved from. If he just moved from somewhere and he’s not familiar with the roads, then he should take more precaution should have take more precautions, and they both wouldn’t be dead, call it what it is it’s not an accident this is negligence !!!!
Damn thats messed up.
Woulda suck to be handcuffed in the locked back seat when your driver decides to go boating
May God have Mercy on their Souls!
Condolences to the families. 🙏😞
lawsuit
Sounds like the cop was doing everything in that car except for driving.
Protect and serve my azz.
Poor woman received a death sentence over a petty crime with no victim.
Prayers and condolences to both families
No concrete barrier is crazy. Someone needs to pay
it's a boat ramp!!
Police officer was not paying attention on the road
He killed that lady texting his wife this is so dark
My goodness!!! The poor woman in the back seat!! They need to put up a gate on those ramps that lead to water!! They said his window was down, I feel like he couldn’t let the woman go alone, there was no way out for her 😩😩😩 it’s what I would have done had I been a cop in that situation. No way would I have left the person in the back eid alone
Wow how sad
It’s horrible but in this day and age it’s easy to become callous.
Watching the chief try not to break down brings it back to reality. 😢
A horrible way to go.
They are not telling us the truth.
Why are you crying for the deputy? What about the poor girl handcuffed in the back seat?!! Was he texting his wife to cause the accident, bad cellphone service, not familiar with the area… We will never know, because it sure sounds like a cover up to me. What’s worse, the attorney general said if he wasn’t paying attention maybe because he was distracted by the one in the back. WHAT!!!!!! Are you kidding me. No accountability.
Awwww poor Chief Malone. God bless him. RIP to the victims.
😅
It was probably a conspiracy by the blue line mafia just erasing another victim they violated @@tnaccountability7455
No bodycams in Meigs County
This murder needs to be a billion dollar law suit.
Wasn't a murder
Wrong twice in just one sentence.
@@milyundlrsmileHomicide, it was a homicide.
I'm sure the cops secretly off with pay while they investigate themselves and find themselves to be heroes and will be giving him a promotion for finding a way to wash off his DNA @@mpettway6982
Accident only.
Why are they speaking like it wasnt his fault. He was reckless
"The deputies window was rolled down which made it sink faster." Sweetie, that is what you do to escape a vehicle in the water. Roll your window down and get out. AC Barker, if I were a reporter, I would not say "body" so many times, especially over an hour before the body was actually found and confirmed deceased. We all help out hope until the recovery. I'm sure his wife and kids did also, "thanks" AC for the prediction, you ended up being correct, lucky you.
Is there a body cam or dash cam of this? I’m sure there’s gotta be if there was an arrestee in the back
If he arrested her on the bridge, why the hell were they at a boat ramp? I can’t even see the bridge in the shots of the ramp!! Does the road dead end at the river? Condolences to both deceased, but wth was going on?
So the deputy killed someone?
This really doesn’t make sense.
There's something suspicious about this incident. The question ❓⁉️ is how and why. The law enforcement agencies are going to cover up the real cause of the accident especially if he's alive or dead we will never get the true story.
Very very suspicious. Why be at home. Why rush to put him to rest instead of following policy to perform a toxicology test
To skip being transparent and accountability?
Im not thinking he was focused on his uber passenger in the back, that text was unsent the sherrif said so im guessing that message was being typed while he was driving and wasnt paying much attention. Sad for both lifes lost lile this smh.
Sounds awfully fishy
I hope they get some answers as to what happened. Do they have body cams or a dashcam? I think he drowned trying to get her out too cuz he was out of the car. Not sure how the car ended up being on its roof though. That is unusual when just driving off the road like that. Either way, I pray for some closure for the families of both victims
They gave two fucks about the woman.
Damage should be on the front of the patrol car, if it drove into the water, it was damaged in the rear of the vehicle, thats odd, like it went in backwards?
