- Adrian Monk and the gang return for a new Peacock Original movie. Here are my brief thoughts and review of Mr. Monk's Last Case: A Monk Movie. It follows Monk, a brilliant detective with obsessive-compulsive disorder. He returns to solve one last case involving his stepdaughter Molly, a journalist preparing for her wedding. Starring Tony Shalhoub, Caitlin McGee, Traylor Howard, Ted Levine, Jason Gray-Stanford, Melora Hardin, Hector Elizondo, Austin Scott, and James Purefoy. Are you a fan of Monk? Thank you for watching! Did you see Mr. Monk's Last Case? Comment below!
Watching the movie, while I was able to solve the mystery by the point we see monk investigating the garage, it was all about the journey and not the destination. Seeing Monk again, the whole team and his journey was masterful. I couldn’t help but cry watching it, having experienced similar feelings and having to struggle with what he did. This was a great movie, and I hope we get a crossover someday
I just finished and I cried! This movie was made with so much love and the little details for the fans (the fear list, Randy’s band, the updates about the kids)
This case was a bit more simple than some in the show but I loved this start to finish! Monk’s journey and the movie clear message about reconnecting with your purpose!
Seeing the team back together after 12 years… absolutely beautiful movie. I’m so thankful they made this movie!
It could end here, but you know they are gonna do something again! I give it 100/100
I laughed. I cried. I wept. I loved so many things about it. We could all use a Dr. Bell in our lives.
This made me want back a series.. Monk and Watson lol
The movie was more a reconnect and move forward than a murder mystery.
This is how you do a revival! I loved it all!! I was laughing the whole way through, and bawling in the end! Watson the dog was a brilliant touch; a perfect reflection of Monk himself, how he has changed, and his worth in the world!! The "villain" was superb as well, as a mix of Richard Branson, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk (complete with Grimes!)! Just so well done all around!!
THe cast look so different and noticeably older.. But it was Classic Monk.
It was great to c the cast. Granted a few missing. Poop scene was iconic. A nice mix of his personality. Do another please. His help is needed.
I enjoyed this special. Monk is such an underrated show and a positive and a negative to this was it felt EXACTLY like another episode of the show. It felt familiar and comfortable. It didn’t really feel like a movie but I really liked being back with these characters and everyone played them like they never left!
Not Dr Bell retired and still seeing Monk! 😂😂😂
all im going say is the ending hade a hint this may not be the last time we see monk
I loved this movie, it was true to form in regards to the acting quality, humour and characters from the show. The only thing that would have made this better was an appearance from Bitty Schram.
Fun movie and far better than the Psych movies.
I agree, I liked Psych as a show better but this movie was a better than Psychs’
Loved it great to see the crew. It was tough to see the doctor scenes
I really liked the movie, I hope it gets good reactions so they keep the franchise going!!
So true
The really movie was bad but I'm glad to see them again. I wish they make new seasons because the entire cast still got it! I'd watch all of them!
My theory for future sequels what if monk had secret child before he met trudy just like they did with molly?
That not something monk will Ever do
Like a 6/10. I didn’t really like that Molly’s bf just happened to be the only one that was suspicious of the guy. I think if they had made Monk the one who somehow tipped Griffin off it would’ve been better. Monk would’ve felt somewhat responsible for the death and give it more weight
I loved the movie wonder if they will continue with the series?
It will be interesting. If they do I could see it as an event series or TV movies with different cases like Columbo.
I'm like # 10!
Overall, the movie was really bad. The acting was bad, I solved the murder right when it happened, and no Sharona or Harold. But, I was expecting the movie to be more insulting. I didn't find it to be insulting at all. So, for that I think it was okay. And yeah, I think that they will make another Monk season.
I hate to be one of those viewers who boasts about solving it super early, but seriously. The fact that they made such a fuss about measuring twice immediately gave away the "murder weapon." As soon as he fell to his death I said "I bet someone tampered with the measuring tape." It was so easy I went to see if it was written by Rian Johnson. That being said, it was still a nice little episode. The end with Trudy with some of the cases he solved, and the one he hadn't yet was nice.
