  • Mersey ferry MV Snowdrop shot in October 2011 at Seacombe Ferry terminal. There is a film crew on the landing stage as she comes in and Captain Hook is on board. UPDATE. They were filming the Sainsbury's Christmas TV advert 2011

    @jademuttley
    I just saw the new Sainsbury's Christmas advert featuring Captain Hook on a ferry boat. Now we know what the film crew were doing at Seacombe ferry and that the segment was filmed on Snowdrop on the Mersey.

    Surely this is the Woodchurch..........why change the name...i mean SNOWDROP!!!!!.must have been on the wacky backy when they chose that one......also the Mountwood...Royal Iris?.......should have called it DOBBIN.. The Daffodil and Iris both awarded the Royal prefix for bravery at Zeebrugge and rescued thousands of soldiers at Dunkirk.... The real Royal Iris lies rotting in the Thames... The so called "Mersey Ferry Team"should be actively working toward protecting our Heritage and getting her afloat before it's to late.....instead of sitting in their offices thinking up stupid Ring'a'Ding names.......Merseyside will regret this one day
