The breakaway cable should have been described, and the chains shouldn’t be twisted as it weakens them. It’s also important that the breakaway cable be a bit shorter than the chains. Not bad for a short intro, though.
It depends on the model year and unit. You can reach out to our Customer Service Team at (330) 852-4811 or by emailing customerservice@nucamprv.com. They're always happy to help!
Of course a 4 wire can work. It will only provide brake, turn signal and tail lights since there will be no wires for electric brakes. Never trust anyone to work on your trailer. Learn what you need to know. Just do a search on 4 wire and 7 wire trailer connectors. You can be sure that you will be smarter them most high school drop outs who get minimum wage to work on your trailer and who ultimately don't care about your safety. If you do hire trailer people to work on your stuff, you still need to know so you can inspect their work. When they screw up and something brakes down 40 mile out a dirt road in the mountains you will be on your own with only your tools and your skill to get out.
I was disappointed that the camera was not close enough to show many of the instructions at the beginning, especially when indicating where the safety pin came from and where it was to be attached to.
Hi, I recently purchased my Tab 400. I’m just learning how to hitch and unhitch. My hitching kit came with sway bars. My question is at what point do I connect the sway bars, when the tongue is raised or after I lower it. I guess it would be when the least amount of tension is present but I’m not sure when that is. You can tell I’m very new to this. Thank you 🙏🏼
No worries! The best thing to do would be to reach out to our Customer Support Team so they can give you the best information. You can email them at customerservice@nucamprv.com.
Very generic video it will help visualize for the novice but People new to campers or towing really need to seek out the advice from the dealer when the purchase is made a good dealer will instruct and show properly the ways and means of hitching and adjusting the tow brake etc.
That's true! We're just hoping to share some basic information for first time campers. It's always a good idea to have your dealer show you how to hitch and adjust everything.
Can we get an updated video with the camera close up so we can see everything
We'll let our Tech Talk Team know! Thanks!

Thanks for adding more details! We'll continue creating more in-depth videos in the future.
What about the break away cable? I did not see that it was connected to the tow vehicle?
The breakaway cable is connected to the tow vehicle, we just did not address it in the video. Thanks for pointing that out!
Excellent! Thanks for the clear and concise instructions.
Glad our little informational video was helpful!
With you long chains i wouldve just looped thru, and then clip it to itself.
Do you need a brake controller for this camper?
Every state will have different requirements for break controllers, but it's never a bad idea!
Can a 4-way plug work on these campers?

Don't twist the chains. It decreases the strength of the chains.
Good tip, thanks!
How should you shorten them so they dont drag?

Thank you for your feedback!
I was told crissc6the chains
That is another way it could be done. Every person has their preferred way of attaching their chains.
