- Comparing 5 of the canister shells I have in my stash ( snake eyes, black knight, excal, springbrook premium, xs hd) I rated them before and after i shot them out of my 18 shot angle rack. FINALLY someone who agrees excalibur shells are great shells but almost every stash vid i watch has them EVERYONE has the excalibur shells and everyone like you said the hype them up to make them seem like they are the best ever they are not

Ive put hd pro excal and exterminator back to back and excals and pros were the best and ive done it more than once to make sure but its all on preference nice vid

nice video, ive been wanting to try out the excalibur for the last few years but i find my self stuck with buying the festival shells. but today i went to firework stand and picked up a White N' Hot 24 canister shell set call the Scorpion. ive never shoot off a canister shell until tonight and man are they so much better than the festival artillery shells. but i can not find any info on youtube with Scorpion have u ever heard of them?
We buy red rhino out of joplin Missouri. Their canister shell is "max'd out".. I have put em up against excalibur, and I feel max'd out has the edge... Would be curious to see where it stands in your comparison..
Imo the pro shells, xs hd, and exterminator are the best (their also all made by the same company BIG) those consist of the loudest and best color, height wise the 10,000 degrees go pretty high mainly cause there a smaller shell but still pretty loud and nice burst. And i could tell you what they cost here not sure where your from cause the prices are different everywhere. Hope this helps you out.
I don't care for the excalibers too much...I just can't believe the little rep the exterminator shells get from megabanger. They definitely belong up there with those canisters. Om not going to say they are better, just that they deserve more credit. Also along with this topic I started thinking about some of the can shells out there that are really just wrapped ball shells!
I like the XS HD shells...I plan on buying a case. Sounded like you freaked out your neighborhood.
Id like to see a dissection/cuttaway of a can shell sometime, I heard the excal's flare out at the base on lift to create a better seal against the tube!?
\/ answer below : yes you can reload your racks but its not something most of us do shooting electronically I'm going to be back in states soon and will be doing a video on reloading racks safely during a show but I shoot electronically so I can enjoy the show and record it also... and firing show wireless is safest way to go about it since my spectators and myself are 150feet plus away from modules. Great video buddy just saw they are offering case prices on select items now Excalibur case 180!
the way i look at it is (performance) but really its what ever u like, if u like more loudness i would go with (HD shells) if u like more color i would go with (pro shells) if u like both i would go with (exterminator shells) but im not really a fan of snake eyes, excals, or darknight shells but its all good(: thanks for the video bro it was greatt!!!!!!!! no im sorry i havent, but yeah when people try can shells for the first time after only having ball shells its quite a difference. first their alot louder and the burst radius is a bit larger. But those sound nice hope you enjoy them.
your so much like me,,,, i sit there for like 3 hours trying to figure out what shells are the best, even know the people watching them don't give a shit. And then when you get done shooting them off your shaking and all exited,,,, and thanking random people for making fireworks.

yea you can just gotta be really careful and make sure nothing is going on it the area your reloading cause you dont want them to go off in your hands or face. I usually wait till it switches to the opposite side then reload. safety is always #1

Need help how does the smoke and mirrors shell stand up? And is there a risk with these low breaking shells? Or is it just the video that makes it look thay way...
@jigga29jam True and well i shot one and they're decent well for the price i got them for $70 cuz the excals have some outrageously high prices people are asking for $150 for 1 box.. So since i cant go to Nevada i have to deal with that.. A case of excals is about 150 or so right?
check out Zeus can. shells if you ever see 'em. Great shells. Lotta boom. Lotta bright color. I love the Neon shells. Electric Rain from w.f. boom are decent, too. Interesting colors. Excals are good. Pro shells are good.
Are u sure the black knights are real canisters? They look awesome and like cans but usually when the fuse goes down the middle of the can at the top its just a ball shell in a tube. I know this is alot to ask but could u open one and check?

thanks and what i ment about the cost is like what would they generally cost im just trying to get a price that i shouldnt go over cause some people have ridiculious prices like phantom 169.99 for a box of 24 canister shells for the HD SHELL WHAT IS A PRICE LIMIT I SHOULDNT GO OVER THE PRO SHELLS HEAR ARE $55 I AM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO LIGHTING HD SHELLS BUT THANKS AND MAKE MORE VIDEO'S PLEASE
Pyro Predator cannisters are the best period..They are slight overloads so if you see them get them (70gram)..They are better than anything on the market!

john - most can shells are just loud. louder than spherical shells . excals/pro shells/zeus are all very boomy and loud. there are others that are very loud for being consumer shells. lotta smaller more obscure brands .
yea im just gonna lite the firecracker rolls and the bottle rockets\saturn missles stuff like that during the day.
ninja isnt a bad brand i use to have their firecrackers and ball shells never had their can shells so i couldnt tell you, but almost all shells are decent. especially if you live in cali. Ive seen people in cali light can shells for the first time and be so surprised of how much power is involved.

Is now there are tons of shells what shell is over best loudness color effect altitude out of excals,HD shell,pro shell,10,000 degree,smoke n mirrors,exterminator,predator canister .its hard to choose i bout a 50 shot rack and could u tell me the price of each individual singe package like excals 24 case or exterminator 24 case ext i dont wanna get ripped off
You say you did a comparison, so let's see--- 1) What was the cost of each? 2) What was the weight of each? 3) What was the decibel of each? etc etc And one didn't shoot, two shot at the same time. A comparison? I should say not!

black knight 20 shells are 89.95 a box.
nah no need to im a 100% positive you can usually do checks without opening them. The weight is usually a dead give away, and they were as heavy as the pro and the hd shells. And the other is you can feel the casing it usually will be weak on the out side to allow the inner shell to break through the outter with ease, and the only thing you feel with those is the firework compounds. And lastly the lift and breaks are that of a can. So if their fake their the best fake cans i ever seen.
u know that the exclaimer, big pro, and xd shells are all made in the same factory and are all the same shell just wrapped differently
the only place here they sell them is phantom and i wont pay $200 for 2 boxes... Im sure their nice though thanks for the heads up.

oh ok i got them for $40 for a box of excals and that was retail and $53 is for a box of xs hd, and pro shells... those are the retail prices buying a case is way cheaper .Hope that helps

If u buy HD shells you get exterminator and pro rewraps in the case FYI HD are the BEST BY FAR reatil case price at BIGS is around 200 for 4 24 pck boxes
bit of delay for the video comparison would be good.
The first shell, if it is THAT light, and has just a gold/silver aluminum covering, is not a good sign. Some companies disguise ball shells as canister shells. If i were u, and if u don't care to risk a canister shell, i'd cut open that first gold canister shell to see if it really is a canister, or just a ball shell disguised.
The last 2 over the cam anyways sounded alot louder and broke bigger and more even
@jigga29jam I honestly dont know... I live in Cali and i get fireworks from people that bring them over and sell them. So I honestly wouldnt know.. They just say Xtremes and they're by ninja fireworks
yea canisters are no joke all the shells were pretty loud out of the tube the video doesnt do justice their way louder in person.

I will bet you one million internets that an excaibur shell contains clay. remove the piece of paper that says "top", then remove one or more carboard discs under that, and you will see none other than.....a pressed clay plug.
most consumer can shells are just carboard tubes filled with stars and burst with pressed in clay end plugs....they just drill a hole in one plug and add a time fuse.

what are you talking about... they dont put clay in shells are u nuts... they put it in cakes so it ways them down. why the hell would you put clay in a shell that has to rise? yea think before you comment and know your stuff.
Go to wfboom.com to see the AFW Electric Rain canister shells. Don't be fooled by weight alone. A lot of the weight of the Excals is the clay they add to it. They clay ends up just making a mess when it falls down.

You keep repeating yourself. Edit the intro, obviously you need to complete redo the nighttime demo. I looks more like a two singles (yes the first one was real bad) and one double shell going off.

The first two are not even canister shells. I have taken the outside off, which revealed the true fact of it just being a 'festival ball' type shell. Poorly made and over priced.
