I have both.. they are AMAZE-IIIIIIIING!! Love the things you can create using both worlds. They put a smile not just on my face everyday, but my clients, friends and family too! Greetings from Mexico my fellow woodworker.

The black edge gives it a nice crisp contrast.

Hmm, I took a picture of an ornament like this at a store a couple of days ago. Now this video pops up on my RUclips. They’re watching my pictures to?

Where the CNC mill really shines is when cutting thicker harder material such as >5mm acrylic, >3mm aluminum, and steel. The CNC mill also more versatile in terms of its utility such as adding depth or 3D curvature. The thinner and weaker the material you work with, the better the laser cutter will be over the mill for a smaller range of applications.

Happy Christmas to you and your family. I much preferred the laser cut one as it highlights to ornaments against each other.

The black edge of the laser cut tree adds a bit of contrast against the natural wood. I would be tempted to go with that. However, my wife does not like when I bring laser projects in the house because the smokey smell hangs on them for days.

I like them both but if i had to choose it would be the lazer cut one. The black from the lazer burning allows you to see the reindeers eye better.

Thanks, you are right about the reindeers eye. This detail was to small for the router.

Great work! I like how you are upping you editing style. Keep that going!
I actually like the laser cut one more. It has a bit more contrast because of the burned wood which really works in this project. Next to that it's more time and cost efficient.

Just curious, if you were searching for existing models for such kind of project, where would you go? What is the thingiverse of laser/router models?
