You can, though it does have an outside BBQ included that mounts on the side already!

About to buy one to bring to alaska.. how warm does it get inside and how well does it hold heat

It has a 20,000 BTU furnace which will keep you warm, but with canvas, of course there will be quite a bit of loss when it's not running in cold temperatures.

@@arrkanntrailerandrvcentre5380 When using a small propane heater in a 6 person tent, the heat is great....until it's turned off. Then it's back to brrrr! time.
