Oh dear! Rose is 90. This makes me feel so terribly old. When I was a chorister, "Master Rose", as William Mackie, our Master of the Choristers referred to him, was held out as our exemplar. We were told that, "If we worked hard for six years as a chorister, we might possibly qualify to clean his shoes after rugger". 😅

Saw Dr and Buffy tuther day…….and indeed Dr Rose conducted two Evensongs at Wells Cathedral. Still didn’t get it right…..
