I was lucky to have parents. Poor but loving. They took me as far as they could and then it was my turn to bring them along. Grateful.

Supportive relationships,safety nets and second chances are key elements for success. I agree giving a book is the greatest gift of all to any kid, my husbands friends keep giving books to my kid whenever he travels abroad,they have been doing this since my kid was a baby, and that my kid reads a lot because of such caring people, I have immense respect for them.
