The combination of manual / CNC machining and high performance engine building content all in one video without any silly music makes for very enjoyable content!
Great way to start the new year: espresso, 6 cyclinders, cnc tools, new sleeves. Thanks for making 2019 a great year and we are all looking forward to your insights in 2020.
Why’s a sleeved block cost so much money??.......This.....This is why. You are clearly not only an expert in your field but your fluidity with your machinery is also extremely impressive. Well done sir.
Damn, that is so impressive. The precision workmanship, the high manufacturing quality, the use of superior materials. One day I want to own an espresso machine like that one.
This people have the 3 things that I'll always like to have, 1. Amazing shop with all the best equipment available. 2. The job of anyone who loves cars and built engine. 3. Bad ass Expresso machine, hope they have high quality coffee grains
4:45 for cleaning of the holes, you might enjoy using a chamferring and deburring tool used for reloading ammunition cartridge cases. They can be had in 60° and 45° pitches, and most can go up to 13mm/ .512 inches.
I noticed technical drawings for an EJ20 during the bore cutting... ;) Nice to finally see some concrete proof that the measurements are interchangeable rather than internet armchair guessing made by "experts" on forums from a decade ago that was never followed up... This is really giving me hope for the future of EG33 development for my SVX project. Much respect, and thank you for the video. Eagerly awaiting more! Liked & Subscribed!
I enjoy the silent videos. Although your English has improved greatly. I like to see a shop so clean and organized. You are truly an example to follow.
I have an old car, I would like to strengthen the engine in it, what parts should I replace? Please help, I need your information large piston, thick piston rods, large crankshaft is it enough to power the engine
So focused on the engine you forgot to zip your pants when drinking espresso! That's the kind of mechanic I want. Love the channel, another awesome video as usual!
On these EG33 are they a alluminium block and then inserting a steel sleeve? Just a big debate in the Porsche rebuild world over steel vs nikasil sleeves. A lot of nikasil installers don’t rate steel sleeve because of their different metals expansion/contraction rates which is what they’re saying causes the sleeves to slip in some cases with the steel liners. Just wondering how can this not be happening with the EG engines?
You guys are killing me. Such Sick Videos... I can't get any work done when watching this... perhaps I'm in the wrong field of work. Also, if you tried pulling an American engine block off the top shelf, you probably would have got crushed. LOL.
I have a question for you I could not find a person to answer .. since aftermarket Cast iron cylinders are very bad quality and especially the chinese engines ,, what do you think , is Stainless sleeve will be better than cast iron sleeves as anti corrosion?? if the answer no : so please tell me how to make cast iron sleeves harder ? some one told me to put them on fire for 1 hour and then put them in oil ... what do you think Sir ?
The ductile iron carries a lot of heat away in the chip while slow machining. That said, we use a Haas CNC like in the video for cutting the sleeves out with a little coolant to reduce wear on the tool.
I love how clean your shop is. People often think a machine shop is a damn mess which many are. This is how it should be.

And an open zipper lol
The undisputed best channel on RUclips..
best thing about this video is the fact there is no added music like 99% of other people do.. this is the best type of videos by far
I love how you have what looks like the world's most well equipped shop, then wrap up the video pulling the block out of the kitchen oven!

An espresso machine on a snap on tool box, it doesn't get 'much better than that!!!
literally the dream garage right there...!!

Looks like he dusted off the old man for this one! Must be the master who taught this young chap all his tricks!
I thought you were about to start building a high performance coffee.
Thought they were going to try and beat that 30 year old land speed record. Nope.

No need to talk. Just some Good Old Engine Building the Right Way!!
Hey Andy, frohes neues, tolle Arbeit mal wieder, mach weiter, grüße und alles Gute im neuen Jahr 👍👍👍👍👍
Cooler Maschinen Park und saubere Arbeit
Espresso intro was dope 👌 lever machine is a nice touch
If I keep my 05 STi, I eventually plan on buying a built block from you and wanna see how long they can hold up!
I'll take one to go in my WRX STI please.
Love these videos. Please keep it up!
When it's time to rebuild my EJ. I'd love to have you rebuild it.

Can't wait for part 2!
Glückliches neues Jahr !!!
that new shop is sick
Great way to start the morning! ☕️ Looking forward to Part 2!
Perfect work , but l’m steel wondering what this hole in the cylinder for ? 🤔🤔🤔
Aren't you supposed to use a torque plate of some kind when boring aluminum blocks? Or is that not necessary when boring for sleeves?
@5.45 'Make the noise'!
Yes! Been waiting for this.
Inspiration for my SVX
I have an old car, I would like to strengthen the engine in it, what parts should I replace?
Please help, I need your information
large piston, thick piston rods, large crankshaft
is it enough to power the engine
Is this normally how you treat espresso machines?
Papa Subi Performance colaborando, un genio✌👍
So focused on the engine you forgot to zip your pants when drinking espresso! That's the kind of mechanic I want. Love the channel, another awesome video as usual!
Your like an ASMR channel and put faith into us subie lovers who want power and reliability lol
Kaffee! Der Kickstarter für meinen Körper. :)
We are watching. Kenya 🤩

why did you sleeve the block ? more displacement or bad cylinder ?
excited for this. been waiting for awhile to see this build
These motors BELONG in the SVX! Would love to have a built one in mine...
There is a god ! I've been waiting soooooooooooo long for dis !
I have an EG33 in my VW Vanagon. Perhaps I should add turbos?
Had one in our shop a few months back. Pedal config could only actuate 30% of throttle! Hope he brings it back for us to modify.
the surgeon of mechanic !!
What espresso machine and grinder is that?
11:24 Bored for so long that he even got old!)))
haha
🏆I have learned so much watching all of the different build videos on your channel 👍🏆💯 Is part 2 still being edited?
Man this channel is amazing!!
Happy new year 🎉
Best, as always, but this time u ended it when it was most thrilling!!! Cant wait for next part!!!!
I have been waiting for this in a long long time!!

Just wondering how can this not be happening with the EG engines?
Is that a 2.0 or a 2.5 espresso coffee maker? Did it come with the 3K RPM gauge? Very nice!
How does the coffee tast?
I liked your video because of that rump wiggle at 11:04. faaauuurrrkkk geil
Tus videos son únicos!
Will this engine fit in an STI?
What would an approximate estimate to have this done?
You guys are killing me. Such Sick Videos... I can't get any work done when watching this... perhaps I'm in the wrong field of work. Also, if you tried pulling an American engine block off the top shelf, you probably would have got crushed. LOL.
Was kostet der spaß?
I noticed the block on the top shelf in the intro. I knew you were gonna grab that one 😏
Jeez, did they use enough silicone at the factory? :)P
die kaffeemaschine hat mich schwer beeindruckt ...🤣🤣🤣
your fly is down at the beginning of the video when you're drinking your espresso shots

waiting for my SF5 to warm up out and go grab some coffee, this is TORTURE!!!
What is the cost for building such an engine, stage 3 I assume?
As I have an EZ30 which is similar.
I even love watching you make coffee!
this is the real stuff here
What is the purpose of drilling into the sleeves?
Piston wrist-pin access holes. The sleeves are not provisioned with them from Darton.
I was waiting for this one, amazing
Why does the machine boring out the cylinders not need cutting fluid like a CNC does?
The ductile iron carries a lot of heat away in the chip while slow machining. That said, we use a Haas CNC like in the video for cutting the sleeves out with a little coolant to reduce wear on the tool.
Ich liebe Subaru
Ahhh....
beautiful machining
So does anyone know what this is going in?
