    What the drivers are doing is most likely wrong and immoral. However, to judge disabilities based on only what you can see is completely ignorant and immoral.

    It sounds like these drivers have a "doctor" who, for a certain price, will sign off on a disabled placard. DMV needs to find this doctor.

    Make it an even thousand dollars fine for every one who violates disable parking spaces where they don’t belong, that’ll put a dent in their pocket and will think twice before parking in a D parking spot again.

    I despise people who park in handicap spots without the right, however, there are many disabilities that don't show on the outside. Lupus frequently has no outward signs. This is irresponsible reporting.

      The guy at the end of the video made a fair point that yes, he was disabled due to a leg injury, but that perhaps his injury shouldn't have been enough to qualify for a placard. It seems to me that the reporter should have picked up on this point, because it seems like something worth looking into. The guy apparently did have a legit placard, so it seems unfair to me to blame him for having it when maybe the real culprit in his case was the system that set the bar for qualification a little too low, or doctors who are a little too lenient in signing off on them.

    Wow. It's shocking to see the kind of house, the limo driver lives in. These guys are mostly Persian/Armenian they can scam their way out of anything. Arrived during the Iranian revolution possibly and never went back. They can find no reasonable job apart from being a limo driver, sadly they can't do even that by not scamming people and getting fake disability placards. This is a serious crime, and warrants should be issued for these lax limo drivers, who mostly drive celebs and high profile customers! You'll find them all around lax, smoking cigars and complaining about how bad their life is as a limo driver. Their rates are the highest at lax, than can pay off any mortgage in LA County.

If there are cars parked that don't have a license plate with disabled sign and or placard I will tell that person if I see them to not park there. I may even start taking photos and sending them in if they are clearly not marked with any disabled placard/license.

    I'm a limo driver who goes to LAX multiple times a day. And I never park in a handicap spot. The reason they do it is there is never parking available. Part of the problem is LAX allows the construction workers to park their cars in those spots all day long. So you come in there especially in terminal 5 and it is 100% full. Anytime of the day. My company has handicap placards we use for legitimate clients who need those spots. But I just have to wait my turn for a spot to open up just like everyone else.

      well you can't because the placard is legal, investigating placard fraud essentially is, it's illegal to get one through deception, but there is no enforcement. He didn't violate parking law here actually, he violated the laws regarding honesty with his application for a placard.

    Come on, not every disable should be on a wheel chair. I have two disabled relatives looks completely fine. One of them has back issues that even he cant hold 2lbs and the other has hard blood clot issue in his legs and cant walk a lot. So the second one he can hold heavy stuff

    • @matthewschocke4094

      stormes28 they did follow this guy around for several days to establish that he was able to walk around fine and carry heavy loads. I think it's pretty clear he doesn't have a disability based on his performance over long periods of time. That said I wouldn't jump to label someone based off of a quick glance.

    hmmm yes because you have to be in a wheel chair to be called disabled. because you can see fake legs under clothes and such. I'm disabled and I walk just fine, what these guys are doing is wrong but to make a blanket statement like you don't look disabled is idiotic and insulting to those who don't have visable disabilities.

    • @TheCobruhAlienat0r
      @TheCobruhAlienat0r 7 лет назад +9

      Forgive my ignorance but if you have a prosthetic leg then unless it causes pain to walk then I don't see why such person would need front door parking.

    • @xDoomsdayx
      @xDoomsdayx 7 лет назад +2

      My mother was a double amputee. she had prosthetic legs but was limited in how far she could go in them as it physically drained her to walk in them. That why she usually would just bring the wheelchair and get in it and go. So that could be one reason.

      If your disabled, you don't have a job lifting luggage and carrying it to and from a car and driving all day.
      Regardless of having a heart condition, a bum leg or COPD, what your says is "i have difficulty moving even short distances and I therefore need preferential treatment with regard to where I park".
      If your disability doesn't impair your ability to walk or lift, lets say you have schizophrenia, then you do not need not deserve a placard and you should not apply for one.
      It is this man's fault at bottom not the doctors. Dependent on the circumstances the doctor could share partial culpability. But the man knows he does not need a placard and applied for one anyways, he knew or should have known that use of a such a placard at an already full lot would deprive people who have great difficulty moving distances from using it.
      If a clerk sells you alcohol, they aren't responsible for you using it to drink before driving.
      If a doctor gives you a handicap placard, you should be honest in your application and honest in it's use. Anything else is a failure of you.
      The way your speaking is "if you can find a way to game the system, blame the system" when a person of integrity and honesty would say things like treat people the way you wish to be treated and that following not just the letter of the law but the spirit is vital to be just.

    • @potsiecyclist4474
      @potsiecyclist4474 6 лет назад +3

      There is so much wrong in what you say. I am perfect example. I have a heart condition (invisible disability) that limits how long I can walk and be on my feet. And unfortunately even against my doctors wishes the only job I could acquire is a job that has me on my feet and walking for my shift. It is a daily struggle for me that have to take many breaks and slows me down. And yes my job sometimes also requires me to take deliveries and lift items. But that doesn't mean that I am not disabled or need the closer parking, because that closer space can mean a result of me making it into my destination safely or falling unconscious in middle of lot. It is rather aggravating to hear people with the mentality that in order to be legitimately disabled have to be in a wheelchair or senior and it just is not the case at all.
