yes it is and it remembers on the analog Audio Cassette from Philips the idea is near there to search. I know there is also a Video 2000 in the development for NTSC and also a HiFi Video 2000. I talk with the man that developed this functions but he never give me this machines and this was a prototype but I know him and I talk more then 5times with him but he don't react on my request!

the SCART connector was a all time wobbly contact problem if you get the picture then you lost the sound and vice versa. haha!

Video2000 was the better Format against VHS and Betamax. Unfortunately VHS won the Tape-format war due to the pornstuff - that’s true

Philips have had first the VCR format in 1972 a 1/2" format with a stack tape (cassette). What to mention is that a directors wife here in Vienna asking about a reasonable development and she asking about a "thing where she can record the TV channel and play them back later". So the development division from the Audio tape factory here in Video developed this unknown thing in secret and in that way that the Boss never hear from this development (the story told me a person from this factory). Later in 1979 the 2nd home video system come out and this was Video 2000 - with the smaller video head and the DTF (Dynamic Track Following - the head is mount on a Piezo and be in track over the 4 different frequencies and it moves in track like a train) also the small 1/4" size of a half 1/2" tape make the video from maximum 2times * 4hours (8hours in time) with a 2side flip over cassette to a better system. But the Film industry in Hollywood don't bring out much films on this system that was on one side the thing and the fact that there was only Philips and Grundig as factory that produce this format they don't give a license for other producers away to make the mass market possible! JVC the developer of VHS are a small company and they understand this mass market phenomena and sold out there system VHS as a license system so also this VHS make a better market then Sony with the Betamax too. At the end in 1985 Philips produce also VHS the competitor system from Japan with Matsishita and this was the story - further more the porn film are not come out on Video 2000 but all my friends since this time have a VHS and a Video 2000 to copy the porn films in case of the Video 2000 was not sensitive against the Macro-Vision Copy protection.
