Nothing can compete with RevStars in my opinion…for the $, what you get, the playability, tones…just awesome. Yamaha always makes great stuff
I couldn't agree more. All excellent build quality and tones. the working-mans guitar!
Well that was the clearest and most expressive demo of this guitar and it's sounds , I prefer the filter on this guitar compared to the standard, thank you 👌
Totally agree! Cleared my perceptions totally as to how useful it can be
Wow! Great demo Robbie! You make that Revstar sound fantastic!
Thank you Jim , I really appreciate that. Super resonant and easy to play guitars!
I love the finish on that one. Great demo too!
thank you so much, glad you liked it!
Wow!! glad i stumbled across you and your playing!!! a very Tasty player🎸🎸🎸🎼🎼🎼🎵🎶
I love those chords you opened with!
Thank you Michael, Add2 chords are like playing stacked fifths...so give a nice big harmonic tone.
Nice playing as ever Robbie. I'm sad the vintage Japanese denim P90 has disappeared. I absolutely love yours. All the very best
Thank you Chip, I'm also sad there isn't a hand-rubbed flame top in the range...I thought there would be one in the Professional range at least...maybe in Gen 3?
Wow, sound very awesome nice guitar.need to buy this guitar.thanks for review 🤟
Love it Robbie. Wonderful sound & playing too
Wonderful sound & playing too

Nice to see a new video from Robbie!
Thank you my friend...more coming soon!
@@robbiecalvoguitar thank YOU! Your videos are ways awesome! Cheers!
... nice vid! I recently bought a Revstar 420 and I think especially these cheaper models have an incredible sound-to-price-ratio ... :)
Thank you so much. I agree, the 420 is a killer guitar and these are incredible value solid tone wood guitars.
You just simply KILL IT....just WOW!
I love the tones you got out of it!
beautiful as always mate .
Thank you my friend...hope to see you this year for a beer and a laugh.
Great playing ! Thanks for this video, on my way to buy mine;)
Great stuff Robbie!! Love to catch up sometime
Thank you Chad, much appreciated. Yes, I'd love that...maybe a video chat sometime soon.
Great tones!
Thank you Tim, That's a huge compliment coming from the tone-master.
Nice playing sir
thank you so much!
Tasty played intro demo :0)
Brilliant, subscribed 👍 Please also demo and review the standard P90 version ✨
Thank you so much. I really want to do a demo of the O2T P90 models. Working on making that happen...stay tuned.
CANT WAIT TO GET MINE FROM GUITAR CENTER TOMORROW!! unfortunately they only had black, still a sleek color but would of preferred the blue or yellow.. if i really dig the guitar im going to buy a p90 standard version with stainless steel frets.
I wasn't sure about the Neon Yellow at first, but now I love it...killer guitar with a nice chunky neck too...
Nice playing Robbie I have same model same colour push it on the edge of breakup roll that volume back it cleans up nicely I find they produce articulate organic tones
Wow, I can buy the element and standard because it is in my price range!!! Of course I have to sell some guitars to make space!!! Oh wait, I'll sell my car! I can walk!!! Lol great playing!! I'm a fan!!!
This guys playing is always sooooo tasty!!
喜欢你这样的右手操作 这样造成的音色非常有参照性 频段选择也有点讲究啊哈哈哈哈
Hi Robbie, I know it might be difficult to answer, as it’s over a year since you recorded the video demonstrating the Neon Yellow Yamaha Revstar RSE20 elements guitar, but can you please confirm what effects pedals/ unit you used to produce that fabulous wha tone in the demo. Many thanks, Greg ( U.K. based)……Sorry, it should read Wah tone!…..G.
Awesome playing! Loving that guitar! Are you in kona? I was a hilo guy.
Thank you so much. Yes, I'm Holualoa, coffee country above Kona. Do you miss Hilo?
@@robbiecalvoguitar honestly…not really.haha. Love your guitar playing man. Hope i can catch your playing sometime when I visit kona sometime. Mahalo bro!
Also I bought your pentatonic TrueFire lesson. Excellent playing! Thanks
Is that a custom colour on the Yamaha guitar. Great playing as always.
Hi Don! It's a standard colour of the entry level Revstar Element.
Thank you so much. The neon yellow is a standard color on the Element series only. Here's the website for more details and color options. usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/guitars_basses/el_guitars/rs_2022/index.html
@@robbiecalvoguitar Looks really cool. Quite fancy one of these
Yes Nice Song!
Your playing reminds me of Michael Lee Firkins
Thank you, that's a wonderful compliment.
Mahogany IS the rock tone
Great playing Robbie. Amazing guitars but the colour choice is either an eyesore like this neon yellow or dull af, like the plain blue or flat merlot just uninspiring. I'd buy one if the colours were more exciting and appealing.
Thank you so much! The Revstar range are incredible guitars, but I agree ... the colour palette could be more inspiring...and a return of the flame top hand-rubbed finishes would be a plus. Let's see if a few new options emerge at some point.
@@robbiecalvoguitar Cheers Robbie, they are so much better than the PRS SE customs, I have one and it won't stay in tune, the nuts are cut really bady, meanwhile I compared the nut of the Revstar and not only are the sting grooves shallower, so less resistance, the G and D grooves are angled toward the tuning pegs on the Revstar, that level of fine detail alone, at now 729eur in EU, sold me on the Revstar, then I played one and they are exceptional, hopefully as you say we might see new colours to laid down some cash on. Love your channel, playing and laid back style Robbie 👍🏻
Very nice sounds Thanks for the review. 03:06 have you been looking to catch the vibrato? :)
Thank you, sometimes I forget I'm not on a tremolo based guitar...:-)
How's the element build quality vs the standard?
Hi Tom, I have both here. Build quality is top notch across the board. The main differences are the binding, five-way switch and Focus Switch electronics for those "out of phase" tones with a passive boost. Also the standard features stainless steel frets and a gig bag.
The tuners look horrendous.
