@michellenichols9785 the problem is, you don't always get a ride back, and you are even farther from the next restaurant. Had a 30 mile trip between restaurants. Only profitable because I'm not using for fuel.
I hate uber eats paying only $2 pay for all trips irrespective of distance. If customer removes the tip even for the mistake of restaurant for high paying and long distance trip, you are left with $2 and a bad rating in your kitty 😂
This is all stuff you just learn with experience. I only do Uber Eats and DD in the winter. I have another self-employed job all other months. I do Uber eats during the morning till around 9 pm. Then switch to DD when it gets late. I would say there are probably triple the amount of customers that use DD, but the offers during the day for Uber eats are much better. Late at night the DD offers flow in, and the offers get much better. I know which stores to shop and pay for and which ones to not. It's usually around 3 to 15 items to shop for at the stores I go to. Have just over 3900 deliveries to date. I am currently at a 100% satisfaction rating, 98% on time rating, and 2% cancelation rating. I take home an average of $1000 a week
The upside of Uber eats, unlike doordash, you can dash anytime, and your zone is wherever you are at, doordash limits your dash if you don't have platinum, and if you get sent out of your zone, you get nothing unless you switch your zone.
If you get a far delivery, just stay and work out there and eventually you’ll get things more in the direction of home and it’ll bring you back. Assuming that you don’t take a far delivery right before you plan to go off shift.
The flat rates were bs. The rates were super low and they stacked on the orders. They sent me all over my area which is unacceptable we're talking 20+ miles from store to person's house. COMPLETE WASTE OF EVERYONE'S TIME.
Thanks for all your info! I'm a driver in central FL by Disney / Orlando area. I just reached my Gold Status last night but I haven't tried it. The opportunities section in the app has really been heavily reduced since the introduction of the rewards program. Last year I'd see the flate rate of $19/hr, but the caveat was a city an hour away. Near my area the only flat rates being offered are $13/hr, along with Shop and Pay offers. It's been a struggle to maximize time with pay per mile. I reached Gold to try and avoid the $2/$3 orders.
Yes I have done flat rate. However not all deliveries qualify. Which sucked. Being new I didn’t realize this. Sometimes wasn’t worth it. Trips would be much further away from where I wanted to drive. Or wait for certain Walmart pickup and delivery was cancelled. Lastly going to restaurants where several delivery drivers had supposedly already picked up order.
Amazing video Mike thanks for always helping out. From my understanding the minimum numbers you teach is 1. $1.75/mile minimum ‘satisfactory’ 2. $7 minimum ideally per order so does that mean for example on a double stack order aim for at least $14 ($7 for each order technically) and so on 3. On single shop and pay do you personally have a higher minimum? Or is it still $7 and $1.75/mile? I personally have still been following this for shop and pays but also follow the $1 per item rule. Thankfully I’m a fast shopper so 95% I do them quick and they end up being worth it. Thanks for all you do sir.
I've noticed recently I'm starting to get alot of grocery and package orders which I've been declining because 1. It's time consuming and and 2. It's simply not worth the pay i have to go to 6-8 different drop off locations for $30 no thank you I'll stick to food/restaurant deliveries.
Uber Eats is quite slow in my area since they dispatch orders for a cyclist account, but I'll get a couple per week that I consider worth my time. The last one I got paid a little under seventeen dollars for 4 miles, and it was about twelve items including a case pack of water, nothing my eBike set-up can't handle. It might pick up for Thanksgiving week, and I'm not that far from Orlando, FL so I'd like to take a crack at that someday.
Has anyone else noticed that UberEats will send you to pick up fast food, BK for example, and on your way to the drop off, you pass by two or three closer BK location that are closer to the drop off. Its a waste of time and gasoline, and orders wont be as hot. This has got to impact tips. Why do they do this? Does the customer specify which location to order from?
Yeah I’ve noticed this too. We have multiple chipotles in my town yet I’ll get orders from the farther away one to deliver closer to the other one. The worst is I had a delivery for 5 guys that was I’m not kidding 27 miles (in a very urban area) away to another town. I looked it up after and there was a 5 guys location 4 miles from this guys house. Like wtf
Yes I wish door dash is like uber eats where you can just dash when you want in my area I have to sign up for shifts how can I multi dash between apps when door dash is like that
I will NEVER EVER do hourly rates. Knowing how far Uber offers can be, you might have to driving for a whole hour for that rates, plus coming back for another hour! I truly believe hourly rates ideas came up for try to take a care of non or very low tippers!
I just started doing Uber eats how do I know when it is surging? I typically do Uber rides and the screen will turn red for a ride during a surge, but it hasn’t done that for Uber eats but yet there is definitely a surge happening at certain times, but there is no indication. Hope that makes sense.
I’m new to Uber eats in the Toronto area. On my second in a row shop and deliver order I accepted another order… bid mistake. This person had 11 items to begin with and everytime I was almost done the kept adding items to the list. 16 in total. I wasted so much time on that order, it ruined my hourly rate and money making potential for the time I had to be out on Uber 😢
I find it insulting when a merchant tells me to confirm after I pick up an order. I snapped!! Because you playing me like I'm here to steal the food instead of making money. Please don't tell me to confirm it really pisses me off. The real thieves are the customers ordering online NOT the drivers.
Looking at Uber Eats to earn income. Question. I use a regular cell phone to communicate with others. I have a Tablet that I know how to use so do I have to invest in a I-pad to connect to uber and other such platforms or can I use my Tablet???
What ought to be some of the best customer provided photos (apartment complex maps) are next to useless because the app only shows the photos in thumbnail size with no way to expand them. For what it's worth, I have an extensive collection of apartment complex maps which I've saved to my phone over the years.
Here it is Friday night and I’m getting more than one request per minute sometimes the same request coming back up because they keep spamming the orders. I’ve got a headache from just hitting the ex button acceptance rate at zero.
On long Island I gan get a request for a restaurant 20 miles from where the person ordering live and only get a few bucks! So how is that remotely worth it? Especially being sent to a crappy area. Ill risk my acceptance rate for the higher paying areas. Flat rate pay is useless. IMO
... Tried it .. sat around .. then nothing happened.. maybe another game of Uber .. I xouldnt even change back to regular pet orders .. once the time frame ended , I sent them a message asking where were all the orders .. they said oh, per. Hour by your location wasn't needed .. yea never will do that again .. lost money once again with them .. 🤔 ..
I use to have Alot of regular Uber Eats customers that i saw multiple times a week and now their All Gone and this aint no joke, Uber Eats is Bankrupt.
Yeah I wish Uber drivers were as nice as you, but they're not, I had two phones with me in an Uber left one in the car called back immediately after he dropped me off he wouldn't pick up his phone he wouldn't pick up my phone he just drove away with my phone like a thief in the night, complain to the company they said hahaha, just today I placed an order with Uber eats, you know how the Uber app ask you for location and permission well it doesn't matter because they're going to try to send it to your last address and then charge you for it like it's your fault it's a great company to work for very honorable if they're doing this to their customers I could imagine what they're doing to their employees, you should be able to walk with your head high working for such a great reputable company (sarcasm)
I started UE a couple of weeks ago, and I made a delivery to an old lady. After I made a delivery, she said she's got something to give me and casually handed me a garbage bag and told me to put it in the dumpster on the way out. I gave it back to her and said "No thank you." I was worried she might not give a tip, but I got the tip somehow Do these things happen to a driver a lot? Or should I have just done what she told me?
I don’t think they are trying to be rude, it’s more like helping someone since you’re on your way out. It does happen sometimes but you can reject to do it, it’s not your job

Riding a scooter for food delivery is far more profitable with cheap insurance, 80+MPG, park near the doors, and most of all, it's fun!
Not when there's snow and ice on the ground.
@granderondeproductions3286
That's when you use the car, or truck, or drive for AmazonFlex
Bingo, but my downside with cars is just finding parking in big cities to just pick up 1 item & all the traffic
you need a license for those things?
@@xJDMWaRRi0Rx if its above 50cc yes.
I've tried flat rates and usually decline two orders within the first 15 minutes because they try to send me too far away.
My thought is even if I have to drive far away I’m gonna make 20 bucks in that hour and as long as I’m picking up and driving to deliver, I’m active
I make killer money on my ev, because milage is basically free.
@michellenichols9785 the problem is, you don't always get a ride back, and you are even farther from the next restaurant. Had a 30 mile trip between restaurants. Only profitable because I'm not using for fuel.
I don't do Walmart because I'm older and may get a water, 3rd floor order. Hate you can't what you're picking up before accepting
I hate uber eats paying only $2 pay for all trips irrespective of distance. If customer removes the tip even for the mistake of restaurant for high paying and long distance trip, you are left with $2 and a bad rating in your kitty 😂

So do you get better because of your rating at 100%, low cancels and long life time years of driving?
The upside of Uber eats, unlike doordash, you can dash anytime, and your zone is wherever you are at, doordash limits your dash if you don't have platinum, and if you get sent out of your zone, you get nothing unless you switch your zone.
Lately DD has been better for me than U.E. UE orders have been trash lately and send me far. Maybe it was the days idk lol

I’m loving the boost today and tomorrow your getting 1.50 on top of all orders

I'm new to this and live in Brevard, probably south of you! Good luck 🤞🏼
Had a shop and deliver the other day 32 items for 9.50 the total for the grocery was 285.00 rejected

Yeah customers order from specific locations we've had customers switch locations on us
I feel i make more woth Uber picking up then Door dashing and my area is sllow.. I only make 2-3 runs before my shift ends withing 30 min
Yes I wish door dash is like uber eats where you can just dash when you want in my area I have to sign up for shifts how can I multi dash between apps when door dash is like that
I would love to try the flat rate, but we dont have it yet. I have been doing this for years, but still curious about your tips lol

On uber eats does it matter if you’re on a bike or in a car to get orders ?
Where did you get your glow lights?
You look like santi zap 🔥
I just started doing Uber eats how do I know when it is surging? I typically do Uber rides and the screen will turn red for a ride during a surge, but it hasn’t done that for Uber eats but yet there is definitely a surge happening at certain times, but there is no indication. Hope that makes sense.

I tried pay by hour on Uber eats once for 3 hours, I got 1 delivery per hour, I didn't make the 18 an hour it advertised, I made more by the delivery.
Anyone else opted in for Christmas tree delivery on uber?
Didnt know about that. I wonder if it will be available in New Zealand.
Hells no 😂😂🥴🥴🤦♂️
Is Uber Eats works in all states? I'm from Europe think about moving to us. I work in glovo
I find it insulting when a merchant tells me to confirm after I pick up an order. I snapped!! Because you playing me like I'm here to steal the food instead of making money. Please don't tell me to confirm it really pisses me off. The real thieves are the customers ordering online NOT the drivers.
It actually will help you by preventing someone else to grab your food and then you will have to cancel.
The real thieves are uber the customer is paying u what u talking bout
I got a few people tell me that too because a lot of people been stealing food. I didn’t get offensive cuz 99% of food I deliver I don’t eat anyway
Just confirm it dude
I have tried flat rate. I like it.
How is it? Are you getting tips?
Harrisburg doesn’t have that “dasher” rewards for Uber
On flat rates, with my ev where I can drive for 5-6 hours for $5. I make bank.
Looking at Uber Eats to earn income. Question. I use a regular cell phone to communicate with others. I have a Tablet that I know how to use so do I have to invest in a I-pad to connect to uber and other such platforms or can I use my Tablet???
Ur regular cellphone works best
Three weeks for a background check. No Uber for me!!
Dang I got in the same day
I got a 32 cents tip 😂😂😂

I have flat rates it’s okay so far they definitely take money from you and it’s only worth it if your getting low paying orders all day
I just did the flat rate for 2 hours and it paid more than the other 2 hours that i did per delivery. Maybe it was a fluke
Don't have this in Los Angeles
This Channel is like a Charade acting like there is Uber Eats orders still worth taking, the Mighty have fallen.
I make $25 an hour on my pedal bike... 5 hours a day. At least in NYC the market is still there.
@@MilenioAgostofacts it all depends on your market
no one in the minnesota market is getting anywhere near $1.75 per mile.... you are lucky to get $1 per mile these days
... Tried it .. sat around .. then nothing happened.. maybe another game of Uber .. Erie pa I don't have flat rate.
Mine was $13 + tips, so I didn’t do flat rate
They are offering hourly pay so they can say hey I offered you by the hour job in case someone sees them with someone probably is suing them already
Flat rates are garbage active hours are hours you are actually driving wait time does not count
Bro, i did 51 items in shop & deliver order that was fucked up
Driving for Uber DoorDash in 2025 How tips for new starting drivers
I didnt likebit, i tried last night on flat rate it was bad last night 1st time i tried
I use to have Alot of regular Uber Eats customers that i saw multiple times a week and now their All Gone and this aint no joke, Uber Eats is Bankrupt.
They would give me trip with 5$ including expected tips on about 12 miles 😂😂😂 what a joke
Acceptance rate matters now, so the app is trash now.
Uber must be ban and kicked out-of business once for all due to their worst pay out for deliveries. Uber is an insult of humanity.
epic
UGH IN CALIFORNIA NO EARN BY TIME =(
Uber eats sucks I can't believe you work for them
Heck no, uber sucks
I started UE a couple of weeks ago, and I made a delivery to an old lady.

Unless she give it to you in a disrespectful way. Then nope
@Gruckmo4444 I wouldn't say she was disrespectful, but the way she asked me was like it was my job to do.
I was a bit confused at that moment
This app is useless!
