The hostess said "It's what he's dreamed of all his life." I'm an American; I don't host a television program or make the kind of money she does but to say Charles "dreamed of being King all his life" was a completely illegitimate comment.
She talks like he's some American Idol contestant who's "dreamed of being a pop star all their life."
He was BORN to the Throne, and he has been learning, and in training, as the Direct Heir to the Throne since he was born. It is DUTY and SERVICE. Prince William now carries the duties Charles fulfilled for 50 years as the Prince of Wales. He has accepted his duty as King, not "dreamed" of it.🙄

Not everyone is knowledgeable about the British Monarchy, or do they even care to the degree that monarchist and royalist do. So don't get your panties all in a bunch. Get a life this is 2023 America walk away from the British on July 4,1776. However, there are those who remain curious and fascinated by the entire 1200 year old archaic institution. However, it's not life and death to us. Get a grip. Since Princess Diana's treatment and death and most recently, the treatment of Harry & Meghan by the monarchy, the monarchy seems to be losing its luster and intrigue and looks more like a dysfunctional, backstabbing racist, bigoted family.
As a Brit , leave Meghan alone. Harry's book is no less or more than Charles book. Did you go after Charles when his book was out. You see his parents did forgive him. His parents also forgive Edward and his wrongs in the past, again his mother forgive Andrew and help him out. Charles did go in on his parents worst, so leave Harry and his family alone and use your energy towards your own family where there are no difference and arguments and everyone lives in unity. Harry is a good lad andso his family.

"Family unity is so important," I agree. None of us would want our family members looking to record, film, or keep records of everything we do as a family. We all have our happy, angry, sad, and moments we may say something we later regret. We all make mistakes, and (short of severe criminal behavior that endangers others), we need to feel safe with our loved ones. Without trust, there is no good relationship. It seems that Ms Markle has been a toxic addition to the royal family, but Harry has his fair share of responsibility for taking part in the whole thing. Seeking interviews and writing tell-all books within families that disparage other members (again, except for severe criminal activity) is disgraceful.
I’m sure that random people on RUclips are more touchy about this than Charles. The royals don’t live in RUclips drama. They just fix the problem and move on.

@Queenie Jordan I am sure I had a couple of oopsie babies, and my kids know that they weren't planned. There are no tears from them, and we are close. I was in foster homes from the age of 3. No permanent victim here. She discarded her father without hesitation, although, the same year she met H, she said her " daddy " was amazing. She cut her whole family off, kept mom close ( she didn't raise her for many years ), paid her off, and discarded the whole family ( even her niece ). Nothing to do with taxpayers. The monarchy is funded by 15 per cent of the income of the private Crown Estate. The government keeps the balance. That's about £300 million a year. Compare that to France, where the president costs taxpayers €105 million a year. Or America, where taxpayers provide $750 million to fund the president.

If you haven't paid any attention to Harry's book/ docuseries or princess Diana's words or the documentary made about her, perhaps you don't understand how the Royal family operates or what is currently transpiring. Currently, as Tampon King,Charles is holding the purse strings of the crown/ monarchy and also controlling where Andrew and Fergie live. So Fergie has to say nice things to keep the peace. Charles is moving Andrew & Fergie from their 75-room castle to Frogmore cottage, the 5 bedroom home that H& M were renting $12,000 monthly after paying 4.1 million to renovate it. All the properties within the Windsor Estate belong to the Crown Estate, a business in its own right. Yes, as monarch Charles can decide who to award the leases to but the CE would also have input. I would think that he was advised that 2 people continuing to live in such a large property did not make good business sense and costly to maintain. Andrew does not receive any income from the Civil List and, unlike the Queen, Charles does not privately fund him or Fergie. Fergie has always maintained good relations with the family, it was the DofE who kept her at arms length. Further more, the different royal offices decide and arrange tours. I would suggest being armed with facts before commenting.
