These are at the auto parts stores for used on small car brake rotor lock screws but they are great for motorcycles and many other things. AutoZone #88-100
Looks like a nice tool. I grew up with a Vessel impact driver & Japanese motorbikes. JIS bits helped as well. Never thought to look for a 1/4” version, thank you. I have the Vessel Impacta screwdrivers, but this will be good for Torx screws on the jobsite saws I work on all day long!
Generally I can get the screws out with lots of downward force, a #2 or #3 JIS, and a 1in or cresent wrench on the flats of the screwdriver. If that doesn't work then I run with one of these, and it always works, which is awesome. Many 80's japanese bikes use #3 jis screws, and thee carbs are always some sort of soft steel #2 jis.
I usually end up breaking the Philips #3 bit in the rotor screw with these. Then I have to cut a slot in the screw with a grinding disc. The heat and vibrations help out and I can usually get it out with a flat head bit. Or I have to grind the head of the countersink out.
