    Salut Chris, I noted that you commented that the effect of the tuner would be mainly on the different ammo in use rather than the barrel. My experience in extensive test shooting of my CZ MTR at 25 and 50 metres indoors is that the use of a moderator alone definitely tightened the MOA grouping. I am not suggesting that the moderator has as great an influence as a tuner in terms of MOA, however basic science (mine) suggests that the moderator design will also reduce the disruptive forces on the bullet leaving the barrel and in so doing also improve the harmonics. Also you will note that CZ test fire their CZ 457 models using RWS ammo. My CZ 457 model’s results are optimum with both RWS and SK match ammo.

    on the topic of accuracy between MDT and LRP: the LRP stock is wood and the MDT stock in metal (aluminum). the myth is that the wood flexes/compresses more than the metal. and that you need to bed the wood stock. so the topic is valid, but maybe only for far longer distances (for rimfire) or more powerful cartridges (with more recoil)

    Great review, I'd love one, but can't justify it as my bulk standard 452 is still accurate and doing the job.

    I have the same MDT LSS stock on 3x of my rifles and its great for me, that butt though was horrible for me. I didn't like the 2x cheek riser bolts digging into my left hand (shooting right handed) in instances that I had to really 'prop up' a shooting bag a bunch. Those bolts would drag across the top of my hand with the recoil...

    Hi, great of you any idea the length of the M lock section under the barrel? It looks like it has about five sections in it? So just wondering what the total length of that? Hope that makes sense

    how long is the buttstock on the cz 457 mdt? I would like to exchange it for the MDT SRS SHORT - SKELETON RIFLE STOCK.

    Great video, thanks, what scope do you use & are you using first focal plane scopes on your .22’s?

    • @mdees88
      @mdees88 Год назад

      He's using a Zeiss LRP S5 5-25x56 first focal plane scope. For normal hunting situations (10-75yds) a second focal plane scope is generally a better choice because the crosshair stays the same size when you zoom and it is less cluttered. If you plan on doing any long range shooting (100yd+) or shooting in higher winds, a first focal plane scope is better because you can do wind holds at any magnification. If you use a FFP for hunting the crosshair will be VERY small at low magnification which can make a quick shot a close range a little more difficult than a SFP scope.

      @@mdees88 Thanks, great explaination. I have a S & B PMII FFP and I love it. The ZEISS looks very capable.

    Well presented. I bought a LRP on your video and luv it, but now i need a lighter stock as i am using it to shoot rabbits and its heavy and here in Western Australia they have changed the rules that i am not aloud to change anything on a rifle as you may be inhansing it, and no stocks if it has foldable or removeable rear stock so we wont be seeing them here 😪😪
    Cheers anyway nicccce vid well done. luv CZ

    Question to YOUR Experts.Why the Hack tzry all to reload so fast som Possible,if a Rifle is made to HIT,not to reload fast? Come on,Guys,HIT the Target,not try to built a Rifle som Break the Reload Record,ok. Thats stupid. We are not at WAR,so a Hunter need a Rifle som work and HIT. Dont say fast reload is also important-NO,the Target is FAR AWAY in a SAFE DISTANCE.
