These flow-disrupting beats are terrible. Chris, you're brilliant but the dude is holding you way down.
Plug in your own beats... don't rely on the keyboardist ...its hit or miss..

Love the raps, Chris. I watch every single one. No disrespect but you got to seriously part ways with the keyboard beats. It is a noticeable difference when you have a proper track. Once in a while, they do something decent but 9 times out of 10, the keyboard music results in a less impressive rap and its a bit of a bummer.
yeah I agree, I was thinking, what the hell is this lame beat? it really makes the rap sound worse, because there's no impact coming from the beats.

such a quiet crowd this time during the rap! maybe u gotta specify "gimme a suggestion that means something to you"? or maybe they were just in awe- probably the case :)
I think it was because the rap didn't sound so good, because the beat was quite off, not his fault, but yeah this beat was awful.
Don't want to sound mean, but the live music isn't working 😔 Either the DJ keeps the beat consistent, or it'd be better to use recorded tracks. I understand that he's trying to react to your phrasing, but he gets lost along the way, which makes me nervous listening to it. It takes away so much from your performance...

Can we start a petition? lol. I hope its not a case of Chris is too nice to not let the guy down. It's not even that the keyboardist is a bad artist. The combination just simply doesn't work. Chris can't get into the flow as well and it just makes the whole rap feel underwhelming. :(
@@huvrmedia I've been commenting about live beats for over a year now I think. He doesn't pay attention... Compare him to Harry Mack. HMack's rap is mostly just boring shit, but he wins in delivery and beats big time. Chris is the opposite. Funny, complex, smart and witty rap that gets butchered by a live band. I wonder if it is in his contract with the venue, that he must use their musicians...

@Poganezz I come back and listen to the ones where he used recorded tracks. But I can't relisten to these live music stuff. The first time was hard enough.
This video, too, had an awesome build-up to the performance, but I just couldn't finish the damn song because of the beat. It's like a whole lobster dish got ruined because of the sauce. Wasteful 😿
But I'm sure they'll figure something out.

Had rather heard this one acapella band took so much away 🤷♂️
So the band is not as good a a pre recorded track.
But I think Chris needs to keep his look more posh Brit like the old videos. Like that the wrap is unexpected. If he has a chain and flash sneakers he looks like he could wrap which sort of ruins the surprise when he does the rap.
