INDY --- I sure missed your videos 🍉 Loved all the signs on the trees 💕 Did you carry fluids with you while walking??? My sugar-free water goes with me everywhere 🌺 Please continue making and posting new videos ❤🤍💙
And I missed hearing from you! 💗 Aren’t all the signs fun and cute? I don’t normally carry water but since it’s a loop I stopped at my car in between laps and had some water. But I’ve been thinking about getting a running vest so I can easily carry water on hikes. I have another video I’m working on now and will continue to make them whenever I have something that I think will be of interest. 💗
@@hiking_heather I did see you stopped at the car for water but wondered how you could do 7.25 miles without taking water with you. As for the signs you should make a few and add them to that trail. Like that one area that had a lot of flat cement pieces. Put a sign that says Rocksylvania.
@@ginnyjulson9710 thanks for expressing interest. I thought about putting something together but wasn’t sure if it would be of value. I’ll see what I can come up with.
Came upon your CT videos when I was looking for content to watch for that trail. Really enjoyed them. Same issues here in WI for training. I walk and lift regularly but nothing compares to being in those elevated altitudes. Hoping to get the chance at some point to do the complete through hike of the CT.
@@carmencordogan1776 I would love that, I’m always looking for good hiking partners. There were some trails I heard about last year that I was actually interested in. I think it was called pictured rocks or something like that.
I've never been to Town Run but I've heard of it. Not many mountain bike treks in Indy. There's Ft Harrison. The best is Brown County SP though not too far away. I hike up at Ft Ben and Eagle Creek a lot, but they are so easy but at least you're walking. :) nothing like out west as you know. Thanks for the update!
Oh Town Run is great, I love to hike there. I personally like it better that the Fort because I feel I can do longer distances without having to repeat as much. But I have been wanting to get over to eagle creek. It’s just a longer drive. But I agree, at least I’m getting out in nature even if we don’t have the amazing views. It’s still pretty in its own way!
@@indtexcol yes! They are quite loud in the summers here and to me are quintessential to Indiana summers so I thought rather than putting music over it I would just leave the sound of the cicadas. I’m glad you noticed!
Great to see you back on here. Excellent way to train. Thanks for the motivation.

@@suemoore1965 I’m really bad about drinking enough water. 🥴 I’m trying to work on that. And I love that idea!
Love the vids Indy....👍
Thank you!!
Missing your tap tap on trail signs ! That was a hit !

Wow! I am in SW Michigan , maybe a hike meet one day ? Nice trail !! ❤

Hey Heather, love the cowbell. I need more cowbell! Are you hiking the PCT with me and my adventure dog Trak’r next year?
@@hounddoghiker9021 oh I wish! Someday it will happen but not right now. I cannot get away from my life for 5-6 months at this point.
Get the training in where ya can. Funny to see north shore style wooden features out in Indianapolis. (avid mt biker here)
That’s right! Oh interesting, I didn’t know those were north shore styled. I loved all the fun signs they have on this trail.
Heather, How fast do you think you walk on a somewhat flat terrain??? Just curious considering an average person walks 3 miles in an hour. Thanks.
@@jimf7564 that trail was somewhat flat and my pace was mid 15’s. So almost 4 miles a hour.
I hear the cicadas.
